Fauntleroy Mansplain

For @lesmisshippingshowdown mod who has no idea who that is and has probably been seeing me LOSE MY SHIT for the last 30 minutes theyre my favourite character and theres just about. 0 information on them, as most les mis characters are, so if i somehow am not the most big fauntleroy fan out there i apologize if i get anything wrong. In the brick they're described as flower-selling affliate of the patron minette. This can be taken literally to mean they're a flower-seller, or a flower seller (as in, a prostitute.) The technical word for it is Bouquetiere which has euphemisms (hence that bit) This is all of the information on them we get. Now for my fuckass opinion because im autistic as fucking hell ok and I love them? Ok please dont try me id die for Faun They--despite being a Female/Afab or female presenting within the brick--most commonly assumed as nonbinary in fanon (my personal choice is genderqueer or fluid as I feel it matches up with the flowery personality we get the tiniest bit of. I use they/them mainly. In most fanon fanfics I see Faun appear within Jehanparnasse primarily, not sure if any of my friends have seen them appear outside of this ship. The best characterization I've seen for them and the one i highly reccomend on Faunsous is a jehanparnasse focused fic where Claquesous is a seer and Fauntleroy helps them through visions. It's QPR but overall so so adorable. It's never specifically said how they're affliated, but if you choose the flower seller personality more so I enjoy the double entandra of the fact many flowers can be poisonous or harmful--and with this connection they could also easily sell these things. If you prefer the prostitution vers. it could also easily be that they [Faunsous] met through this of some sort and developed feelings. They're often described as one of Jehan's friends, due to a similar personality, and again, with JP, montsous (BROTHERS) and them would be a quartet of sorts I find rather nice. I've written them in multiple fics as literally the only person with an emotional range bigger than a teaspoon, and a good friend of Montparnasse's and Claquesous'. I think they also parallel Musichetta in some ways. As for appearance there's no set decription? I have a pinterest board that I'll link here if you care to look at it, but really it's all up to you. I personally prefer more androgynous looks (playing into the genderqueer bit) and stuff like that. The dynamic i would probably describe faunsous as is like morally grey grumpy x sunshine. Call me unoriginal but I'm a sucker for characters with horrible moral compasses and I 100% can see Fauntleroy baiting someone for Claquesous to kill them, or attending a nice dinner and lacing their food. If you want more I can go for hours. I highly reccomend reading fanfics I swear they're so awesome guys
