#faust feels

Trying to clean out my drafts, rip me for having so many headcanons.

This is just a small portion of them. Most are just angst tbh.

Faust 

- Smol not so innocent lowkey hoe casually developing a love for musicals and really old writing (ie: Hamilton, Romeo & Juliet, etc.) but being so reluctant to admit that he adores it so every time someone brings it up or tries to tease him about it he just gets super offended and denies liking it but in reality he just cannot get enough of it all.

- Living with an older brother is never, easy (speaking from personal experiences here) the teasing seems to follow him everywhere. However one day out of the blue Mephis just comes up with this embarrassing nickname for Faust and would always tease him about it.

- Coping with a family members death is never easy, especially if you were fairly close to that person. No matter how much he tries to mask the sadness insisting that he’s okay, he’s never actually been ‘okay’. Somedays would be worse then others, until he eventually shuts out the whole entire world and goes off on everyone who mentions something about Mephis.

*Bonus: A close friend/family member accidentally calling him by his “forbidden’ nickname that his brother gave him til he eventually completely breaks down and goes off on that person.

- Quiet a long shot here, but I’ve always imagined Faust developing a case of schizophrenia due to his delirious acts of trying to help his dead brother as a child. Idk, this was just something that struck me as something he could possibly have developed.

- Kind of a bonus or add onto the schizophrenia head canon, even though I feel as if the schizophrenia  would mainly begin to show during his early to late twenties. I believe that some symptoms seemed to show up earlier in his life, whenever he’s feeling very anxious or worried his leg begins to shake rapidly. A bonus add onto this would be where Faust would have a tendency to talk a lot, the words coming from his mouth not making sense half of the time yet he still talks despite no one being able to understand.

- Letters. This is something that would probably start when he’s around the age of eighteen to nineteen once he becomes aware of his schizophrenia. Every day when he wakes up and before he goes to sleep at night he would always write letters to Mephis despite him not ever being able to read them. They’re mainly used as mini memories for when he gets old and cannot recall anything that happened from his childhood.

- Suits and Ties would probably never really be a thing that either of the boys supported fully, however they would dress nice whenever they had to. A few days before Mephis’s funeral, Faust would probably go out and try and get the nicest suit and tie but would only where it once. After the funeral he’d throw it into the back of his closet most likely labeling it as a “bad memory’’

- Sleep deprivation from staying up late and trying to figure a way to bring his brother back would take a huge toll on him. Faust had never really been labeled as the type of kid to stay up super late, Mephis however was a different story. But once Mephis passed the trait seemed to pass onto him, staying up after twelve some nights he would be found falling asleep in his room on his desk due to sleep deprivation.

Mephis

- It was never truly cleared whether Mephis death was intentional or not, and rumors often spread about it being an intentional suicidal action. However this is not true, it was solely an accident and despite how tough he tries to act he’d most likely admit that he never wanted to leave his family in such a way.

- It’s pretty much clear that Mephis is kind of an asshole, it doesn’t seem that he does this just for the sake of being mean or rude. Due to the brothers parents absence half of there life it may have caused some sense of neglect which led Mephis to his actions.

- Communication has never really been easy for the boy whenever he passed, which leads me to believe that somehow, someway he urged his little brother Faust to use a ouji board to communicate with him the first few times he visited him. However after a few visits Mephis found another way to communicate with his younger brother without putting him in danger.

- Once Mephis discovered this new communication system, he would always go to Faust. It would be something like a secret between the, a thing that only Faust and him share. however if he did need someway to communicate with another living being (ie; a family member, or friend) he would most likely do so. or you know scare the shit out of little kids.

Faust is a persistent individual who doesn't let things weigh him or his goals down, he always manages to get up despite his shortcomings, and will do just about anything to achieve those ends. In fact, one thing that he's very well off in is his wits. He is very intelligent as an individual, and that is reflected heavily by the way he behaves and how he looks into situations. This could be dangerous, because on the negative side he is opportunistic, and will seek things that are better off for him in the long run, and leads to a somewhat selfish behavior pattern. If there's one thing Faust is, its daring because he always has that sense of adventure and things that could seem dangerous don't exactly bother him all that much. In fact, when it comes to those types of situations he tends to gain a spontaneous sense of courage; something he normally lacks. One of the things he doesn't lack, however, is liveliness. He is energetic enough to be considered zealous, something that sometimes leaves others not taking him seriously because he has those tendencies to act like a child. He's also easily excited, and is pretty energetic overall. However, he is also rational and alert. He's a bit of a realist, and being alert allows him to pick up on the slightest things. He's capable of logic, and tends to think more logically, despite what could be seen of him from his energetic side. He also does listen to reason, and will back down if he's told to do so, or is given something contradicting him. This tends to give him a leeway for his somewhat selfish behaviors, because he will give up on those desires in favor of others if that's the reasonable action to do at the time, not that it doesn't cause him any emotional conflict. This leads into his decisive capabilities, as he's able to analyze an issue and find the quickest solution to solving that issue. The solution, of course, that has an effective result that doesn't cause several more conflicts in the long run. His sophisticated mannerisms support this, along with his intelligence. He is also protective of those he cares about, to an extend that he will give up quite a lot for their comfort and safety. While he isn't exactly self-sacrificing by any stretch, he will stand by the person and try his hardest to make sure harm doesn't come to them. Unfortunately, Faust has become a bit of a potty mouth, despite normally being sophisticated he has a very vulgar speech pattern, and tends to swear quite often unless he's around much younger children. He's also sarcastic, being that he tends to make rude jokes or comebacks and sometimes it makes him look more like an asshole than he is. It doesn't help that he's cocky, and is incredibly full of himself and tends to show it a heck of a lot with how he talks and acts. This is supported greatly by his competitive side, and it heavily shows through with him wanting greatly to prove people wrong about his capabilities. That all being said, he's still very self-conscious, and while he's shown to be cocky in nature he's actually very nervous and is only that way as a coping mechanism.

Faust 

- Huge cinnamon roll, lowkey hoe, everyone’s favorite.

Where do I even begin with this hoe? Faust is the kinda guy that would give off the shy little dork impression, but is actually quiet the opposite. With his love for big sweaters and ambitious attitude he’s always determined to succeed at whatever he puts his mind to and is very outgoing. At first he may come off as a complete ass, but in reality he’s actually just a big sweet heart. 

- Even though half of these have been mentioned in stream, I felt as if I needed to include them within the post. You can skip them if you want to <3

- Nervous/Shy 

His big sweaters aren’t just used for keeping warm and making him look adorable af. They would most likely play a huge part whenever he is nervous or shy, this cutie would most likely hide his hands in the sleeves of his sweater whenever shy.  Faust would also have a huge habit of nuzzling down into his sweater, and pulling his arms inside of it as some sort of form of protection. Turtle Mode Activate!

Although his sweaters would play a major part within his mood states so would his body language, paying attention to ones body language would give off a few signs as to whether he were happy, sad, nervous or even angry. Though in this particular state Faust could be caught cocking his head to the side and lifting his shoulders into a slight shrugging motion while flashing a sheepish little smile. 

Faust would also have a habit of twiddling his thumbs and even scratching or rubbing the back of his neck when nervous, while doing so his gaze would most likely stay fixated upon the ground beneath him.

- Outgoing/Ambitious 

Faust may have his quirks but nothing compares to his true personality, he may be young but he’s quiet the outgoing and ambitious character. He would do anything to succeed at whatever he puts his mind to, and if he doesn’t then he’ll always try again. His outgoing attitude plays a big part within his ambitious side, he’s always pushing himself to the limits.

But this doesn’t really work out to well, his ambitious and outgoing side may encourage him to try new things but they also encourage him to unintentionally hurt himself. Faust would always be trying to follow within his brothers footsteps and do “cool” things like him, but would always end up hurting himself in the process.

- Cool/Chill

Coolness isn’t exactly a thing that Faust majors in, as much as he try’s to be cool he can never actually succeed. Despite his best efforts he always ends up falling over or saying something wrong, Faust has a tendency to try and lean on the nearest objects in effort to make himself self look “cool” but always ends up tumbling over or missing the object completely. 

Not to mention, during his attempts to be cool he would probably attempt to do some crazy shit like ride a skateboard or something. Only to find out that it’s not as easy as everyone makes it look.

- Fears/Trepidation

This hoe may try and make himself look all high and mighty, as if he isn’t scared of a thing but in reality he’s scared of quiet a few things. Having witnessed his brothers death, Faust would most likely fear the inevitable. Most people would think the thrill of not knowing what’s to come next is pretty neat, but not Faust. He knows that his day of death is near, just like everyone else but Mephis having died so soon and at such a young age he fears that the same fate is destined for him.

Faust would also probably have this slight fear of storms, the sound of thunder and the feel of it rattling a house or building isn’t something he likes very much. The rain is not much of a bother, he actually enjoys it a lot its only the loud and flashy things that scare him such as lightning and thunder. His sweaters also come into play during these situations as well! Huddling down into the large cotton fabric surprisingly calms him down. Turtle Mode Activate Once More!
