My 1st Thanksgiving (Picnic)
I hope everyone had a great holiday. This was a great day for me I hosted my very 1st Thanksgiving! Oh my God I am becoming an adult. Intially I was bummed out because I knew I wasn't going to be able to visit my family because of work and this would be my 2nd year in a row missing out. Luckily, I have an awesome family and they visited me from Connecticut.
I wanted to show my appreciation and make them feel special, turn their dinner into an experience. The catch? I don't have a table. Yes you read that correctly. We used to have a large coffee table but the glass to it broke and we (my roommates and I) haven't replaced it. The only way to solve this is to have a picnic!
I think picnics are fun even romantic damnit!
Where is the table? Uhhhhh...ummm...about that.
No table? No problem! Here are some pictures from the festivities.
Doing some prep work from the night before yummm graham cracker crust.
The outcome... Cranberry white chocolate cheesecake!
My mommy...Isn't she beautiful?
"The Spread."
"Candied Yam" Ice Cream Sandwiches.
We even had matching mason jar glassware and DIY Napkins rings. White grape juice #FauxFancy.
My "cici" (sister) I caught her off guard.
Funny faces. Me and my baby brother.
Had a great time and much to be thankful for. Lessons learned: tables are overrated, all you need is food and family but I will have one next year.
How was your Thanksgiving? Did you have a table? What was on it?
