Snow: Our characters in the cold together
"Hyung… Hyung are you judging me?" Taemin murmured in amusement, hands pressed lightly into the pockets of his thin sweater. Where Taemin donned irrevocably willowy clothing, the elder was thickly sporting a heavy winter jacket, fleece hat, wool scarf, layered jeans, boots and a cute pair of mittens in contrast. Chen was staring at the younger almost disgruntled at how much at ease, Taemin seemed in the cold weather.
Ten degrees below freezing, and the pair seemed to differ greatly. Even under the thick layers, Jongdae was still on the verge of shivering, scowling at Taemin who radiated warmth, “What the hell are you?” The elder huffed, shoving his covered hands into his pockets. “I know I didn’t believe you when you said you were leaving the dorms like that but— god, aren’t you cold?”
"I’m not cold," he reassured, flashing the shorter a bright, pearly smile. "But— oh, your cheeks seem to be turning blue… Your lips are also frozen, wow."
Narrowing his eyes, Jongdae puffed his cheeks in exasperation; a habit he’d unknowingly touched upon due to the Angel who’d stuck around him more than often. “You still— you still haven’t answered me.” He reminded briskly, refusing to let his lips twitch into a smile; he’d inevitably found out after a while that, around Taemin, smiles just tended to appear on their own accord.
"An Angel." Taemin laughed, though completely serious on some level. "I’m hyung’s little Angel, and I’m always so warm when I think about him."
"You’re getting colder, Mr. Scrooge."
Reaching forward, the Angel pressed his palm onto the other’s cheek gently, brushing his thumb over the skin; a flush of warmth passed through him and onto the elder naturally— and though it was an irrational occasion, not humanely possible, somehow it felt otherwise.
Maybe it was the much needed warmth that had the other unquestioning.
Even such, neither of them complained; Taemin liked making the elder happy and Chen— well he was quite enjoying the heat of the touch; a final drastic difference from the cool weather. “You’re so weird.”
