leslie shay didn't dance. at least, not in a way that would be deemed acceptable at a wedding like this. leslie loved her ( girl* ) best friend. and even though she only ever told him once, during her maid - of - honor speech at 'the wedding of the century' ( seriously, that was what someone called it ) she loved casey too. he was like . . . the big brother she never had. she loved kelly severide more. obviously. but she had never really loved him like a brother. he was family. but it was deeper than that. he was her best friend, no 'guy' needed because he did outrank dawson slightly, but he was also her soulmate. and honestly? probably the love of her life.
so even though she gave him a look that said no, the word that actually came out of her mouth was, "fine. but only because this song is perfect." that part wasn't true. she would have danced with kelly severide any time, anywhere. all he had to do was give her those puppy dog eyes and that little crooked smile and there wasn't a damn thing she wouldn't do for him. except have sex with him, because gay.
