Violet’s Response: This is a hard one, but I feel like our favorite date is when Zach took me out on my 20th birthday!

Zach shows up and surprises me at my aunt Amy’s restaurant with flowers, and he and the Zachbots whisk me off to the place where we shared our first kiss: Roanoke Marshes Lighthouse. Zach and I took a stroll along the boardwalk and to and around the lighthouse, simply talking and catching up as friends since we’d had a falling out the previous year and hadn’t spoken much.

Then Zach admits, while ironically standing in the exact spot on the boardwalk in front the lighthouse where we first kissed, that he needs me in his life, “I told you at Donita’s show that I needed you, and I meant it…I never wanted to hurt you like I did when you ended things with Travis…I just wanted to make him pay for hurting you, and I thought if I showed people what he did then the police would do something…I did it because I lo…like you…so much, you mean the world to me…I was just trying to help…”

And that resulted in me crying and accepting his apology, then Zach called the Zachbots and they arrived in a gondola like boat and took us for a ride in the moonlight across Shallowbag Bay (the body of water adjacent to the lighthouse). The Zachbots also played romantic music from their ummm, record player heads (not sure why we added that feature to the Zachbots, but it’s definitely an interesting one). Finally, Zach took me to my childhood home where he’d set up a meal for us (made by my cousin Paige who planned the entire evening with Zach), and we ended the night with some dancing. It was very romantic, meaningful, and sweet 🥰.

Zach’s Response: This was the first date I’d planned for us, so it was my favorite too. I finally got to apologize for hurting Vi, and I laid the groundwork for us officially getting together that December. Plus Violet was hot in her short purple dress… Paige picked out an excellent one for her to wear 😉. Even though she didn’t mention it, we also spent the night together…NOT LIKE THAT, but it was nice to fall asleep beside her and whisper I love you to her as she slept. She didn’t hear me say it, but it was one of the first times I said it out loud and it just felt right.
