This post is for @fern-nevala, who asked to me which are my favorite mangas (that I would also recommend to anybody), so there we go! :
-Konjiki no Gash Bell by Makoto Raiku (European/American title: Zatch Bell!) - Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas by Shiori Teshirogi (spin-off of the franchise Saint Seiya created by Masami Kurumada) - Koe no Katachi (known also as “A Silent Voice/The Shape of the Voice”) by Yoshitoki Oima - Sherlock by Jay. This is the manga adaptation of the BBC’s series with the same name, starring Benedict Cumberbatch as the main character. Until now they’re only three volumes, which adapted only the first season. - The promised neverland by Kaiu Shirai and Posuka Demizu (absolutely worth to be bought and read) - Sora no Otoshimono by Suu Minazuki - Sakamoto desu ga by Nami Sano (this is one of the most funniest thing ever) - Chō no michiyuki by Kan Takahama (known also as “Flight of the Butterflies”) - Marie Antoinette, La jeunesse d'une reine by Fuyumi Soryo - Guardians of the Louvre by Jiro Taniguchi - Full Metal Alchemist by Hiromu Arakawa - Shingeki no Kyojin / Attack on Titan by Hajime Isayama - Heads by Kaigo Higashino and Motoro Mase - El Shaddai: Exodius (one of the spin-offs dedicated to the game El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron, placed as a prequel of the principal story). Since it wasn’t released officially in any other languages, if you want I link the English scans on mangago. - Soul Eater by Atsushi Ohkubo (trust me, the manga is way better than the anime) - Pandora Hearts by Jun Mochizuki (same here) - Fruits Basket by Natsuki Takaya (same her as well, think that the anime covered only the first six volumes... of 23 :D So you can imagine.) - Shugo Chara by Peach-Pit (man, I read it more than seven years ago, such long time passed since then xD) - Saint Young Men by Nakamura Hikaru - A lollipop or a bullet by Kazuki Sakuraba and Iqura Sugimoto - Kuroshitsuji by Yana Toboso (known as “Black Butler”)
I want to make a note for another one: the manga adaptation of Gankutsuou, created by Mahiro Maeda himself, the director of the anime. The tone and the atmosphere are way more darker, things are way more explicit, and most of the situations were represented differently from its animated counterpart. And dude, when you will read it you would be glad to not be Villefort, I swear.
It’s a very long post, but I couldn’t renounce to add any of them on the list! All of them, as I said at the start, is highly recommended :)
