Stop posting news as unsourced screenshots!! Please, I beg!!
Include the link to the source or it didn't happen!!!
And preferably include the source (website) name and date/year in the post too!!!
This has been a very loud, but very humble beseechment from your local media professional, thank you for your time
Seriously though, the spread of misinformation and disinformation is higher than ever, thanks to AI, botnets, 4chan, fascists, psyops, etc. Please use good sourcing!!! This is legit a way to help keep your communities safe.
If you see something and you don't know if it's true, or if the source is reliable, the two best/most comprehensive places to check are:
Snopes - to check if something is true/real, including social media posts and images/videos
Media Bias/Fact Check - to check if a website, news outlet, or other source is reliable. They rate outlets on accuracy of reporting and on political bias, and maintain detailed fact-checking records
I encourage you to check them whenever you're not sure about something important - the bigger and more upsetting it is, the more important it is to check! And I also encourage you to bookmark them for whenever are worried you might be reblogging something untrue or made by AI!
Stay safe out there, yall. Keep each other safe. By adding source links!!!
But I wonder if we also ignore illness because of our bias toward agency and control. We would like to imagine that we captain the ships of our lives, that human history is largely the story of human choice. Perhaps this is why rumors have swirled for millennia that Alexander the Great died of poisoning even though he almost certainly died of typhoid or malaria. We simply don’t want a world where even the most powerful emperor can be felled by mere infection.

the door slammed shut behind you as you took a step into your apartment. a heavy sigh left your mouth — shoulders drooping and arms hanging. your bag dropped to the floor with a soft thud, while your gaze rested at some dot on the wall next to you. after your eyes focused back again, you finally found some strength to take off your dripping coat and place your wet shoes on the rack.
jake had already heard the door unlock, ran to the foyer and waited by the door, like a puppy for its owner. when he saw you walk in, eyes dark, legs barely able to support you, he felt something shatter in him. his smile faded, his eyes watching you silently, his arms ready to stretch out.
it always hurt your husband to see you in a state like this constantly. it was unavoidable due to the constant heavy load at your job as a paramedic. of course, anything was possible, but it wasn't always good. he knew how hard it was for you, but he also knew how much you loved this job. even with your sleepless nights staring at paperwork, having to witness many tragic moments with others' loved ones or stressing out when sudden calls came in, while being a trained professional of several years. it was severely demanding, and jake was fully understanding of it. he was the only reason you were able to get up the next morning. even with his own problems, whether they were back at home or at his own job, he made you feel like the most loved person in the world, which you certainly were. you were grateful for him — his thoughtfulness. he always had his late-night plans to fancy restaurants or parks with beautiful views from high above, or when you didn't feel like going out, he made your home feel like heaven. it wasn't just the movie nights he carefully thought out, the platters you laid your eyes on for a millisecond anywhere prepared for you on the kitchen counter when you came home, or the quiet nights lying together, just blabbering away about life and its problems. just getting it all off your chest was enough, and it made both of you feel a bit better. but it wasn't just that. it was him, being next to him. feeling his presence next to you was always reassuring. it was more than you could ever ask for.
he always wanted to give you everything, even when you couldn't.
as soon as you looked up and your eyes met his, you gathered all your last energy to get to him just to end up in his arms. he clutched to you tightly, smothering you with little pecks in every place that was in his view. he made sure there was no place that his lips didn't kiss.
you felt him pick you up swiftly, now bridal carrying you to the bathtub. it was already filled, perfectly warm. rose petals floated around in the water; a luxurious scent lingered in the room, separate from the fresh, slightly floral smell of the person whose hands you were currently in. you looked up at him and mumbled a quiet "thank you." he cautiously placed you on the cold tiles of the bathroom floor, kissed your lips and left. your towel swung, hanging on the back of the door.
you finished your shower quicker than you expected, even with jake checking up on you every now and then — to scrub your back, to hand you a new bottle of conditioner, to share his horrible jokes somewhere. after you came out of the bathroom, you sat down on the bed, and in an instant, your body collapsed onto it. jake followed a moment later, after turning off all the lights.
rain continued to pour, acting as natural white noise, drowning out and distracting the thoughts running around in your brain. the hypnotic effect of the sound of downpour made your mind feel more at ease. the dramatic, loud and powerful nature lashing against the window panes was completely different to the cozy atmosphere you had inside. warm, quiet, safe.
an arm wrapped around your waist, reminding you of your comforting, caring husband lying next to you. you weren't asleep just yet, but you were getting there. so you felt it all but stayed still, turning around once in a while. as you turned to face him, his hand landed on your back — drawing gentle circles, some lines streaked across. as if he were creating a masterpiece of art on your back. after a few seconds, he lowered his hand back to your waist and pulled you closer to him. you were practically in his embrace now — breathing into his chest while inhaling the citrus scent on him. his other hand hovered over your face, going over each part. your eyes, your faintly blushed cheeks, your perfect nose, your soft lips that were slightly curved into a natural smile. he watched over you — admiring every single detail — carefully as to not wake you. he kissed your closed eyes, the tiny freckles splattered across your face, the tip of your nose and your lips. those lips he could never get enough of. the taste of the sweetness that came in every kiss felt like a dream. one last kiss landed on your precious, to him, lips before he began to drift off himself.
his voice echoed before the sound of rain filled the house once again.
"sleep tight."

If you see articles and tweets about how the Star of David is now a symbol of fascism and think to yourself "maybe they have a point," then whatever you define as your antizionism has absolutely crossed the line into antisemitism
The Star of David is one of the most important symbols in Judaism. The fact that it is on the flag of Israel does not make it fascist. The government of Israel is separate from the symbol. Labeling such a widely used symbol by a marginalized people as fascist is incredibly dangerous and seeks to conflate Jews as a whole with the Israeli government- something antizionists continually claim people shouldn't do. So why are some doing it?
High control groups slowly ease you into believing nonsensical things. They provide "reasoning" and "logic" which goes largely unchallenged within echo chambers. People in these echo chambers are prone to believing it because they start to see it as real logic instead of bigoted, twisted reasoning. Even otherwise intelligent people can fall for their prejudices as they begin to view it as a form of justice
It is a fantasy that high control group leaders go from 0 to 100 in five minutes or refuse to answer any questions- they are usually much more manipulative
