i'm rapidly becoming more and more discouraged by christian guys :(

I know, right? 

My revelation from Sunday has me thinking a lot this week though, and I can't help but think that even 18 months ago, I was thinking some of the same things these guys are thinking (like in terms of social justice stuff). I still hold out that they can change, because I changed, and I know how hard it is for me to do that! haha

i'm just amazed that they don't equate loving someone with showing them Jesus. like, how much do you have to miss the point of the Gospel to get to that place????

When you spend your whole life in a church that literally never preaches from the Gospels, you kinda don't learn the Gospel.

urrrrgh times infinity 😠 what happened?

Just people who are equating #illridewithyou with sympathising with terrorists, telling me 'all those Muslims can go home,' etc.

I read one comment that said "Muslims don't need company on the train, they need Jesus." 

I think that some of it comes from the fact that in Adelaide we don't tend to see people physically attacked on the street for wearing a hijab/looking Middle Eastern for whatever reason. Like, I wonder if they would feel differently if they'd seen something like that happen in front of them, or happen to a friend. But it's still no excuse for being so ignorant and outright hateful. It makes me so mad that it's coming from Christians who are supposed to love their fellow man, regardless of anything. As my brother said, Christians should be the first to offer to ride with someone. And doing so, and having compassion for Muslim people does not mean you cannot sympathise and mourn with the Sydney siege victims, as so many people are making it seem. 

It just sickens me that people have this attitude, and are so blinded by their dogmatic 'faith' that they can't see all they are required in Jesus is to love and serve people.
