Forks reminded Aileen a lot of home - Scotland. The landscape and the weather; cold, wet, and foggy. Much similar to Scotland's weather. and found the only place in the world that would ever ease Aileen's home sickness would be Forks. Strangely enough. But another thing that brought her comfort was the people - they were friendly. Very welcoming, yet caught a few give her strange looks. However, those gazes still gave her kindness. Funny enough, she found herself adopting the Forks' friendly personality - greeting those she walk past with a 'Hello' and a smile.
Today just so happen to be an example of that. Aileen had just step out of Newtons Outfitters', a paper bag with a pair of winter boots inside. She was eager to get home, however, when her eye met Bella's - an unknown force pulled her in to speak to her. This girl, whom she had never met, reminded her a lot of her younger self; awkward and shy, but kind. At least she seemed to be kind enough to have a conversation with Aileen.
"Depends on the day?" She repeat playfully, "ah, you must be referring to the snow slowly melting. I suppose that could be seen as a good day." A light chuckle slip out, and then her hand reached over for a shake. "I'm Aileen, sorry to have bothered you. I just -- well, I just moved here from Scotland." A harmless little lie, she did not need to know the truth.
