The day had been busier than Kiara had expected, with various knights and servants coming to her with minor injuries and aliments. At yet another knock on the door, it was with relief when she realised it was Cain, and he seemed perfectly uninjured.

"Good afternoon," she greeted him, cheerfully, as she continued to grind herbs into her pestle and mortar. Her stocks of remedies and tinctures was rapidly depleting. "Please tell me you're not injured or ill," she smiled.

A Common Cause

Freydis stayed close to her husband as they walked through the Citadel, her eyes sweeping over the area, the knights all around who were clearly different from the Viking warriors and shieldmaidens who followed herself and Ivar. It was odd, but she was alright with it. 

They approached the main castle and were allowed inside, led by a knight through the halls. Ivar had had the idea, of course. They’d heard of a Queen near England, one with great power- a Völva, she’d been called by their people- that surpassed even that of their Seer.

When it came to taking down King Alfred and his English armies, they were going to need alliances. After the Great Heathen Army had taken England by storm, he’d built up his defenses, in case they chose to return. So now, the Vikings wanted to raid again, to stop Alfred from continuing to work against their people, and more importantly, their gods.

The doors to a throne room were opened, and Freydis made sure not to get ahead of Ivar when they walked inside, approaching the throne. Unlike her husband, Freydis did bow when they reached it, and the Queen herself. Ivar simply stood and leaned against his crutch, smirking up at her. After all, he was a god, wasn’t he? Why should he bow to any human?

Ella had run the bath as it was so cold outside that it felt like it seeped into her bones and decided to stay. She made sure it was a little too hot, as she slipped bubble bath in as the water ran and poured in  some oils, setting it by the bath. She lit some candles, poured some wine and had a book by the tub. She was undressed and in a robe when she heard the door click open, she walked out and saw Maeve. Ella smiled, “Hello Miss Big Bundle.” She teased putting over to the woman, helping her detangle from the coats, mitts, scarf, and hat. Ella felt the woman’s hands and cheek, before pressing the back of her hand against Maeve’s cheek. “Geez, you’re freezing.” Ella immediately started unbuttoning the woman’s pants, “You’re joining me for my bath, get undressed.” She said firmly,though with a teasing smile. “You do that and I’ll get another glass for you, and some cheese and crackers to munch on.” She said before putting away and getting another glass and the food, before heading towards the bathroom.

“Are you sure about that?” Morgana looked up at Merlin, and she raised a single brow. She was oblivious to the fact he had magick, but she knew not to underestimate him. “I don’t believe that. You are more than people think you are…” She reassured, moving a few steps towards him. “isn’t that right?”

Merlin’s head jerked. It was slow and jerky, weary even. Breath catching in throat, the warlock wanted to flee. This room was far to small; it felt smaller by the moment. “I...I am certain. I’m just a servant. I can hardly handle a sword. You’ve seen the trouble I get myself into,” he stammered. “I’m just.... Merlin, a peasant from a small farming village.”

What a good Morgana!!!! I love how she’s written, and the other characters that have been written there are also pretty interesting! The mun is also pretty cool as far as I’ve seen! I wish her nothing but the best!

let me ramble about my original characters !

MARIELLA CASSIDY  /  WITCH

first things first, she doesn’t have any direct relation to lily (even though they have the same name), i just really like the last name cassidy and accidentally used it twice? #sorrynotsorry  ANYWAY,  she’s based of the song mariella by kate nash,  which is a really beautiful song about a quirky girl that was different to the average person, but was just really happy in her own world and didn’t care that she was different??? so i made her into a witch lmao. essentially she lived with her family but always felt really out of place, but never really realised why, until when she was 12 and she found a really old, battered letter in her father’s office. she then finds out that she’s actually the daughter of her aunt, who was a witch, but had no idea of mariella’s existence  (she was told that she had died shortly after being born)  as her family didn’t want her being brought up as a witch. but when she finds out, she packs her bags and runs off to beacon hills to find her aunt and moves in with her. as the song suggests, she’s a strange, quirky girl, but is really sweet. i never really got to write with her much, so never really got to develop her much further than this, and haven’t picked her back up in over 2 years now?? but yeah, that’s my lil’, undeveloped mariella; my failed attempt at writing something supernatural based!   //   @fayofavalon
