COTL AU Worldbuilding pt.1
The Lamb
My Lamb was found by and raised in a village in Darkwood that didn't follow the Old Faith.
They grew up nameless since there was no need for one to distinguish them being that they were the only lamb
They are vaguely aware of the existence of certain aspects of the prophecy but not anything specific prior to the story's events. They only really know that they are supposed to change the lands of the Old Faith somehow, that the Bishops don't want that to happen, and the other gods are waiting for them to make that change.
Narinder
He was not aware of the rot ritual and thinks the rot is a side effect of the lamb being the perfect vessel of prophecy.
Upon learning of the prophecy, he assumed Yngya would be the one to free him since she is a god (the bishops also had this assumption, which is why they tried to kill her first)
Narinder communicates to the world beyond the afterlife through bone crack reading (think Aunt Wu in ATLA)
No one knows his name except for The Lamb and the other gods because of the Bishops. Including Ratau
The prophecy
It was given by Clauneck to the Bishops and their disciples. It quickly spread throughout the lands by word of mouth. He alone knows the full details and only conveyed what the Fates instructed him to reveal.
The prophecy was revealed after Ratau had been chosen as a vessel. This is a reason why he lived despite being a failed red crown vessel and also why Woolhaven is near his former cult grounds

@colpapabear continued from HERE
He had taken something of a shine to Robert, mainly for his support and patience in being witness to what the other probably thought were the most mundane of spells. He toyed with the handkerchief a little while Robert teased him, shooting him a look but still grinning.
“Really that -good already?” He mocked playfully, “Give me three days and I might be like the -average f-fifteen year old, surpassing you by that --point.” All teasing of course as he had seen what Robert was capable of and he was sure it was far beyond anything he would ever manage or get the chance to even try.
everyone say thank you @carpetbug for these designs
COTL AU World Building pt.2
Yngya
As one of the chosen gods she retains some power even after separation from her crown. This includes some unfortunate side effects
The Crowns
Without being claimed, the crowns become dormant and turn to stone. They can only be reactivated by Chemach (who was originally keeper of the crowns) or by the First (who are now gone) once they become dormant
The crowns can absorb as well as give power. Absorbing the power of another divine strengthens it and can allow it a greater variety of abilities
The Bishops
They retain some alterations from their crown bearing days, but no true power since they were not chosen to wear the crowns but found them/were found by them
Cult of the Lamb AU general info:
This is woolhaven inspired, so there will be spoilers for it
The AU name is Frost and Bone (tagged as "FrostandBoneAU" and "FBAU") it is posted as a fic on ao3
The fic for this will be in two parts: Rotten Bone and Burning Frost
Rotten Bone will primarily focus on The Lamb's point of view. The rot ritual had been partially triggered by The Lamb's first death at the start of the game. Each death of either the Lamb themselves or of a major pillar of the Old Faith causes the rot to spread in addition to the collected souls as in the game.
Burning Frost will center around Yngya's point of view after her battle as she recovers from amnesia. Yngya's reaction in this AU to her regained memories is much less positive than in the game, and there are other complications but more on that in due time.
