Headcanon Meme: Open!

There is only one thing that Maxine thinks about when red ink is mentioned and that is her grades. Red ink reminders her of the scores she gets on exams and quizzes, of the scribbles and notes her professors put on her essays and examination papers. 

It serves as a motivation for her to continue to do her best and to always aim to achieve good grades. Though her parents don’t really pressure her into getting straight A’s, Maxine personally pushes herself to always strive for the best in order to get the best grades. She knows that people hold her to a higher standard given her family background and the future role she has to play as queen so she continually works hard in order to ensure that there is no room for people to doubt her capabilities and capacity.

If you were to mark down a list of the things that made Iseul the happiest, writing would be up at the very top right next to his favorite pet.

There isn’t a moment the young man doesn’t have his notebook tucked away with him, it never leaves his sight and never falls into the hands of another person. He makes sure to write every day, stories he loves, poems from his heart, even just the deepest thoughts that run through his mind in the late hours of the night.

His journal is his most prized possession besides his mask from the spirit world, it holds nearly all of his secrets, his insecurities his thoughts, every little thing he could want to express but never found an easy way to do it out loud. The feeling of a pen in his hand and the sound it makes as the ink scribbles beautiful cursive into the paper, it calms Iseul and puts him in his happiest state.

He truly could not live without writing, it is everything to him.

She... doesn’t really pay attention to pigs as animals, she’s more into small ones? Like dogs and stuff so she doesn’t have too much thoughts on pigs but she feels bad for them that they’re made to be human food, which is why she tends to stay away from pork and beef because they’re big animals. Other than that, she really doesn’t have much opinions on pigs.

Notes? What the hell are those?

Kidding! Kinda… Clover isn’t really one to take notes until it’s too late. By the time finals come around she had about a thousand pages of notes from trying to study at the very last minute. She continues to say that she’s going to get better and start taking notes early but ends up doing the same thing.

as a child, vera had a soft heart. she would cry when her knees were scratched up from training or when she saw her mother punish her minions. she never took a liking to seeing anyone hurt from her powers as her mother taught her to do so. but as with time and circumstances changed, so did she. it was her lack of control of her temper that got a hold of her. as she aged, her temper grew too. vera learned that it was necessary for others to get hurt, to be the first to strike or else you’ll be the one struck down. yes, it still hurt when she bled, but she’s learned to never show a weakness.

unlike popular belief, camille isn’t close to her mother. though she aspires to be like her, as she’s always been told to do, there’s always a part of her that wants to resist and be someone else, someone less gentle, someone less delicate (a part that she’s always sought to repress). camille never asked attention from her mother, and was only given this luxury when matters urgently required it (for example, her friendship with alec). she’s closer to her father, who spends more time with her, and is often more lenient, and has instilled in her the idea that she has the freedom to choose what kind of wonderful future she wants to have. however, strictly speaking, she’s not very close to either of them. she’s been known to keep to herself, to be quiet in everything she does, and could probably disappear for days on end with only her father noticing she’s been gone.

as for extended family, camille is afraid of the red queen, and perhaps rightfully so. though she had been close with alec, her cousin, things now are tenuous at best, and she is convinced that he will never forgive her for a matter she had no say on. for that she’d always sought repentance, or retaliation, but so far all she has is guilt, creating a darkness in her that which she will never speak of to anyone else. (the white princess cannot become queen if they knew she had something that felt broken in her chest every time she saw him, always aching, and never quite the same.)

¶ + the ocean

Headcanon: accepting!! 

Marci has seen the ocean of course (they’re on an island so….) and he really enjoys sitting on the beach late at night with someone. It’s his go to drinking spot. He’s like to go and spend a day frolicking in the water, killing it at beach volleyball, and laying out in the sun. (and I mean who wouldn’t want to see that.) He likes painting beach landscapes too. He’ll set up on the beach and can spend hours out there with his brush. 

Of course, he doesn’t go to the beach that often these days, finding it reminds him a bit too much of a certain someone and a few rather romantic nights. 

He also has a bit of a fear about the open ocean. Like, he’s terrified of what would be down there.
