For starters, the Desert Eagle is a massive semi-automatic pistol. It shoots a .50 caliber cartridge, which is a devastating round. If fired inside a vehicle, there would be a visible fireball coming out of the end of the barrel. You can see what I am talking about in the following video:
If the bullet from that piece of ammunition had hit the driver of the Tesla in the head, little of the head would have been left intact.
