I think that's the thing, for me he was a normal person, as normal as radio hots are, so thinking that he was part of a fenomenom is weird. I once was sharing pictures of a trip to Spain, and he was like any other co-worker asking about the pictures and where I went, and honestly forgot he used to travel to Israel and other places. He's such a normal dude.
I’m sure he is. He was always super down to earth whenever I talked to him in dressing rooms or whatever at the network. He’s just always had the “laid back good dude” vibe. I don’t think fame ever went to his head.
I would love to talk to someone like him who had the experience of being literally WORLDWIDE famous for like...maybe ten of his most formative years and then have it all suddenly...stop? And then you have to go back to a semi-normal life that you didn’t really know because you spent your childhood/teenage/YA adult years being a global phenomenon? I mean...him, Benja, and Lu are all still acting/in the spotlight in some way. Cami was the one who fucked off into the wilderness and gave up acting/singing pretty quickly after RW ended but it’s obviously never been the same for any of them. I guess maybe the one person who is still somewhat experiencing lifestyle at that level is Luisane but it’s because she fucking went and married Michael Buble of all people so she’s still living in arenas and being Rich Rich. For the rest of them, I feel like that must involve some serious therapy to adjust. Going from the rockstar life to somewhat obscurity has to be hard. And I guess in the age of social media you never really go away because they still all have a robust social media following but again, not the same as when they were at their peak. As a writer I just want to pick their brain and learn all of the things behind that psychology because it seems so interesting to me.
