gosh i just love horses so much like there’s so much fucking intelligence in their eyes and they learn so freaking fast??? my gelding is now my service animal, and NOT because I trained him for it- because I didn’t.  But he noticed that I was struggling with my wheelchair one day, walked up to me, and nudge until I held his mane, and just- pulled me where I needed to go.  And now he does it all the time.  he learned how to open doors for me, he learned to pick things up for me- all because he just watched me, and noticed when i had difficulty. they’re so fucking special???? they have the biggest kindest hearts ever???????? i adore them!?!?!?!?!?!?!

YEEEEEEEEESSSSSS 8D I ship them too honestly; Tauriel is equally precious and badass on top of that, Pax is already pretty intrigued by her and I definitely think she could get him to let his guard down :3 Plus they’ve both been through a lot and I can see them bonding over that in the future, I LIVE for Pax bonding with other people who’ve been through hell and back.

She’s not actually sure if she feels awful or not, but Kili ( @ncblekili ) has a sincere apology, and Sigrid only does it out of fondness, you smol pupper

tauriel + weapon preferences? ( because she is only seen with bow & arrow and dual daggers. )

asdfghjkl; i literally wrote like 200 words and then realised i was writing it on the wrong thing. it kinda got more organized towards the end but i’m sorry !!! 

a lot of people go “well, if tauriel was so good at fighting, why’d she get beat by bolg in botfa!” fails to understand that tauriel isn’t used to open battle, and isn’t trained for open battle. she’s very young, (600 according to this interview) so she wasn’t around for the war of the last alliance, which was the last time the mirkwood elves were in open battle. and when they were, they were not good at it-- they were “ill-equipped with armour or weapons in comparison with the Eldar of the West; also they were independent, and not disposed to place themselves under the supreme command of Gil-galad.” tauriel and the woodland guard’s fighting leans more towards guerilla warfare: small group of combatants against a more organized enemy (the spiders). so, it kinda explains why she freaked out and started screaming kili’s name. 

personally, i think tauriel is probably better with her knives than her bow-- she simply has more of an opportunity to use them in close combat situations. while bows are badass, when you’re in a small enclosed space they’re simply not effective.

      Okay, he’s had worse before but it’s never been an arrow stuck in his shoulder and he shouldn’t be so surprised with the pain coursing through his sore muscles. But he is, undoubtedly-- mostly because he can’t recognize the surroundings, can’t force his dizzy mind to stop for a second and focus on what is going on here.

      But soon enough there are gentle, soft hands are probbing and touching his shoulder and before his mind could follow the wound was already being clean and treated. For a moment, he’s vaguely aware that he should be grateful for being found for some friendly lady while in such a state----

                  ( and maybe he’s lost too much blood, because his head is still spinning and he can’t really remember what had just happened not so long ago. )

      The words finally slip out of his tongue and he takes the momentum to suck in a deep, slow breath. It doesn’t help at all-- he feels sick, lost and there’s a sense of urgency gnawing at the back of his mind, begging to go home.
