OOC - No Longer Evacuated

>> We are home from Michigan all safe and sound. The interior of the house seems to be fine with no obvious damage anywhere.

We have power now and the internet and cable are both up and running. (We were told by the power company that we might not have it until the 24th, so we were really happy last night to discover it on when we got home.)

Several trees outside came down, but we were lucky in that they fell to the side instead of on the house. The back fence was taken out by fallen trees, but again, the house wasn’t touched.

The only leakage from the hurricane seems to have been from the rain and water coming in around the front door so we’ll need to dry out and replace the carpet there.

I am really wiped out so plan to do a lot of sleeping today interspersed with some laundry and working on my owed tag/draft responses.

I’m just really damn glad to be back home.

It took us 15 hours to get home from Michigan last night and I’m exhausted and I ache like hell from the driving and the air mattress for the last week.

After all, she would not be a Narnian if she allowed one of its kings to die from an arrow wound.
