Yuzuki hesitated, staring at the person at her door as she tried to recognize who this person was. He...He wasn’t wearing the school uniform, but he wasn’t wearing any other school uniform.

A part of her was scolding herself for opening the door so late in the night, alone.

But the knock at the door had woke her and she couldn’t go back to bed...So...

“...Who...How did you get here?” the question finally slipped out as she was still trying to place where she could have seen him. He had to have been a student at least right? There was no way he slipped by the magical barrier and just...Appeared on campus grounds.

Daniel opened the off letter addressed to him, then would read it before blushing shyily. He knew who this was from. Nisha, As such he would keep it close for a moment before thinking to himself. “Thank you.” – she simply said and wrapped it tightly around herself; by then Nunnally was already used to Irvall’s unexpected kindness. As if he could sense more and faster than she alone – “How did you know I was getting cold?” – Nunnally found these words silly as soon they left her lips. Was he granting her his cape only because he thought she was cold? Or was there another reason? To protect her from magic? Would it ease her coming through the portals? No matter. It was not important.

She smiled. It had its scent. For the time being it was the scent of safety. How odd? She would never expect that safety had a scent.

“Thank you.” – she repeated – “I will be sure to take good care of it so that it can be returned to you in a perfect shape.” – although she wanted to keep it. She was just too shy to ask. Or too shy to assume it was a present and not a loan.
