morning.
when the weight on his eyelids lifted, so did the cloud of sleep that covered up his pain. it couldn't still be dark outside, could it? he was confused when he squinted into darkness, but when he moved the dark wall fell and things made more sense. it was bright outside and he was on the floor, covered in a blanket. the thing that still didn't make sense was why he was on the floor of his tent.... he wasn't in his tent.
well this is new.
it wasn't like him to end up like this. eden vaguely remembers the reason why he's shirtless but-- oh. shit.
he shook his head, sending little droplets of water about him from washing his face. a heavy sigh didn't make him feel any better as he stared blankly into the mirror. he was on "house arrest" so his wounds could heal but a small part of his soul was dying from staring at the inside of his tent for a few days. eden grabbed an old shirt, cut up the sides. he felt like a tool, but the few friends he did have back in the states took scissors to it without his permission and he couldn't be bothered to replace it. it was slightly helpful, since it wouldn't mess with the bandages (much smaller now) as he ran. and with sneakers tied, he stepped outside and took in a deep breath of air, stretching carefully as he prepped to go on a morning run.
