The cold never bothered me anyway...
Perhaps it was just his taste buds but Junsu was having a thrill with the new food that was on campus. Most of the time, it was just a simple rice with vegetables. Meat was rare and never really available especially in the small town. But there was meat all over and he couldn’t help the small excited smile that pulled his lips. It was a normal look but he was nearly salivating over the eloquence of the selection. Chicken and some other stuff sat in pans for them to choose and the smells had his mind running away with the idea of what he wanted, what he would taste. But, as his mind was wondering, the male serving the food wasn’t in such a relaxed nature. Irritation crossed his features, before finally he cleared his throat and caused Junsu’s dark orbs to rip from the food.
Pursing his lips, he pointed at few pieces of food and watched them piled on the plate. It was pretty sight and considering he had nearly scrubbed dishes for food back in the city, this was more worth it. Growing up in the country, the only thing he had was his med training but no one would hire him without a degree. He could volunteer, yes, but it wouldn’t be paid. Of course he volunteered for experience but other than that, he barely could juggle his jobs and school along with a volunteer position. It was a lot on his plate and sometimes, he just wished he could live in his car and not pay for a place he barely went home to. But, he wanted a sense of belonging and working for his own place gave him a sense of home.
The plate was slid under the glass plane, into his out stretched hands and he couldn’t help but smile once more at the food. Many wouldn’t understand his excitement over a plate of food but then again, many wouldn’t understand hunger. With a gentle nod, he took a gentle step away from the line and shuffled away as he stared at the food. So good. Every day since he had been at the school, he had tried almost all the food in the dining area. It meant, that he had settled in pretty well and yet, he had made no friends as it seemed.
Friends. This didn’t bother him considering, he was used to dealing with the feeling of loneliness that tended to creep up on him. Months of living on his own, he was pretty accustomed to the feeling. Not that he didn’t have girlfriends or the occasional one night stand, but that wasn’t anything special. Coworkers tried to get his attention, but he really couldn’t focus on them a lot of the time.
An empty table nearly had a giant J on it, bringing the male towards it with a happy feeling before he slid into the chair. Crossing his ankles as his elbows moved to rest on the table, he begun to look at the food for a long moment before reaching for his chopsticks. Pursing his lips, he broke the pair bamboo sticks apart, he begun to move the food around as the smell of the intoxicating aroma reaching his nostrils. Slowly, a small smile pulled his lips before finally he heaved a sigh and begun to dig into the feast that was laid upon him on a small 12 by 12 plate.
