FE Fandom: "Rhea is evil and boring and the worst FE3H character"

FE Fandom: "Corrin is boring"

FE Fandom: *Got mad at the botting that got Jorge into Top20 of CYL last year*

FE Fandom: "Sword Lords are all boring"

FE Fandom: *Tactically Votes to make sure Camilla didn't get Top 2 in CYL 2 and made sure to knock her down to 2nd place in CYL3 because they didn't like her popularity*

Also FE Fandom: *votes a meme character that doesn't have a name or unique character design/model into a potential Top 2 position in CYL and then proceeds to complain if Chrom fans try to rally support around him instead, make excuses for botting because it's it's character they want and many admit it is entirely just to troll the "toxic" FE fans*

I hate this fanbase. I hate this fanbase so much it's not even funny.

I especially hate it whenever reddit goes "everyone is morally grey in this game" to put, say, Edelgard on equal morality with Claude or Dimitri (which, lets face it, is the only reason that term is constantly thrown around). Morally grey doesn't equal everyone being the same damn shade, but thats how it seems to be interpreted over there.

God don’t even get me started. I was on a thread back around release and someone literally had a comment that was like “Everyone does bad things in this game! Dimitri is a murder hobo, Claude is a coward, and Edelgard is grey.”

Grey is not a fucking character trait stop. I genuinely have to wonder if they even know what the phrase “morally grey” means. I think they just use it as a catch-all to be like “See! I’m not a stan because I can acknowledge that Edelgard has faults!”

But then you point out literally any fault and it’s “How could you dare, Edelgard did absolutely nothing wrong! AT LEAST SHE’S BETTER THAN RHEA!!!!!”

Like oh, sorry, I thought we were supposed to be discussing how she’s “grey”? Also yeah, it’s supposed to be a spectrum. Dimitri killing soldiers that were attacking his homeland and Edelgard starting a war that’s going to kill tens of thousands of innocent people are not equivalent.

It's kinda funny, bc the rampant hypocrisy that runs in the fandom is amazing, but they're also the kind of people that fall for a joke cyl leak made in 4chan. They believe that Pereasu (Jap Pelleas name) translates perfectly into Chrom. No wonder why they aren't taken seriously anywhere else.

I haven't even seen the joke leak so I ain't even sure how "convincing" it was. If the leak doesn't come from Reddit directly (as in that person themselves claims to have been the one to hack the CYL website which is what normally happens) then I ain't buying any "leaks" and will wait for the official results. They'll come out in a few days anyway.

If Hoshidans are Japanese why do they mistake Corrin for one of them when the Nohreans also mistake Corrin for one of them? They're obviously both white.

Because its a game made by Japanese developers who don't care about Western (predominantly American) social justice politicking.

But also Hoshido isn't Japan its Japanese inspired, it doesn't take place in the real world, Hoshido and Nohr don't exist and thus don't follow our real world logic on how race works. Obviously I'm gonna be able to tell the difference between a Japanese person and a pure 100% white European. Its a game, they weren't expecting you to think that hard about it. Hoshido is Japanese inspired from their names, their designs, their class titles (in Japanese anyway) and their weapons and Nohr is European inspired, specifically German/French with sprinklings from elsewhere, from their names (Charlotte, Leon, Benoit, etc), to their Class Types (Focus on Cavalry), their designs (heavy armour compared to Hoshidos more sleek Samurai Armour type) etc.

So no technically Hoshido aren't Japanese they are Japanese inspired but calling them white is also super dumb and super ignorant.

But if you keep acting smug it'll just prove to Edelstans they are right to keep abusing people who disagree with them because oh they acted smug so they deserve it Like just don't be a bitch and talk about this in a private discord or something like that rather than on a public tumblr

So it's the victims fault if they get abused is what you're saying? They were asking for it you are saying? Because some people (ie. Me) acted a little smug on HER OWN TUMBLR BLOG I'm the reason artists are getting abused for drawing a character these absolute cretins don't like and voice actors are having their livelihood threatened because he dared to say he didn't like their beloved waifu? Is that what you're saying? Cause if so you are a disgusting piece of shit.

Now I want to once again state there is a difference between EdelFAN and EdelSTAN.

Fans of Edel don't necessarily hate characters like Rhea or Dimitri, they don't try and claim everything Edel does throughout the game is good and justified and they don't mock fans of other routes or Lords because they aren't assholes they are people who like a character that does morally questionable things.

Stans of Edel on the other hand repeatedly try and bend the narrative so that their waifu is the supreme good in the game and anyone who dared to stand in her way were the true evil in Fódlan, they often attack fans of other Lords, they very often spam abuse at people who say even the slightest thing against their beloved fav (#JoeZiejaDidNothingWrong) and have harassed artists for even daring to create content for a character they don't like. They play the mental health card when you try and engage then about Edel's behaviour but proceed to claim Dimitri deserved to be put down "like a dog".

So I'm sorry if any small victory over these absolute stains on the fandom make me "a little smug".
