I JUST HAD A REVELATION TODAY
I just watched a video talking about a theory of how Morgan/Marc is the the tactician from fe7.
I'm not sure if it's a popular theory within the fe fandom but I just wanted to share it in case other people don't know about it.
Morgan's Japanese name is Marc which I thought was just a reference to fe7 because the generic name for the tactician is Marc.
BUT THE CONNECTIONS BECOME EVEN DEEPER
In a DLC in awakening Lyn states u look so much like Marc and asks if u remember her, Eliwood, and Hector (which could be just be interpreted as she's asking the player if u remember her from fe7).
But here is when we get deeper into this.
When you recruit Morgan they're either a boy or girl depending on your avatar's gender. A male Morgan if your avatar is a girl and a female Morgan if the avatar is a boy. Lyn states you look so much like Marc. The theory is that the other missing Morgan is the Marc that wakes up in the middle of nowhere in the fields where you first meet Lyn. The Morgan with the same gender is not in awakening and that would explain why you two look alike. BECAUSE THAT IS YOUR DAUGHTER/SON.
In the Future Past DLC there are the female AND male Morgan. The reason could be that the avatar had twins but in the actual story one of them is missing. Because of time traveling shenanigans in awakening, the Morgan/Marc of the same gender as you could of gone into an Outrealm Gate by accident and wake up with no memory like Morgan except with the goal of becoming a tactician (LIKE THE MORGANS FROM AWAKENING). This is what Marc tells Lyn in the beginning of the game.
Considering Male Robin is the more canon Robin, it could be implied that Male Morgan is actually Marc from fe7 if this theory were true. THAT MEANS MY SON WENT ON A LEGENDARY ADVENTURE WITH LYN, ELIWOOD, AND HECTOR.
I already love Morgan so much and now I love them even more!!! And all I have to say is that Intellegence Systems is fucking amazing if all of this was intentional.
