picking my awakening playthrough back up for the first time since march. trying to figure out what the hell i was up to with these supports

awakening updateeee got WAYY further in .. took a sick day today and spent it getting some much needed sleep and then played awakening for the rest of the day :) got up to chapter 13 so lucina is recruited nowww :D as well as uhh . gregor, nowi, libra, tharja, anna, olivia, cherche and henry. sticking the rest of this under a cut

off the bat, i haven't used nowi at all since her first battle. anna either, though i do MUCH prefer her here to her 3h appearance. her voice acting isn't grating as hell here! which is certainly a plus.

cherche i don't see myself using a tonnn either.. like her design but nothing particularly jumped out from her introduction. she's fine. libra is cool, not a Favorite but i've been using him quite a bit. he's a pretty good unit so far. umm gregor is fun, i like him lots, but i haven't used him a ton. olivia is also fine, haven't used her a Lot but it's nice to have a dancer and i like her design. henry is fun.. was waiting for bryce papenbrook to show up. i knew he was somewhere in this game.. tharja is probably my favorite of the units i picked up today lol, i've been using her quite a bit and she's my first unit to reach level 20.

supports wise i've gotten a LOT more. sully and frederick i got up to a, i like them a lot. umm vaike and maribelle are up to b, i still like them. got lissa's first support with both gaius and libra, both seemed good but i liked gaius's slightly better. got stahl and tharja's b support, they're really good. i like them.. got cordelia and lon'qu's b support, they're fine. ummm what else . i definitely got more than that .. OH stahl and sully's c support. yeah they're fun.

of the supports i've been getting, i think i plan to pair up sully and frederick, stahl and tharja, and probablyyy vaike and maribelle? possibly cordelia and lon'qu, but i want to try a few more supports for both of them first. similar thing with gaius and lissa.. tbh i like their dynamic a lot but i'm just not sure about that hair color on her kid . lmfao .

also really funny sidenote i am realizing as i play fea how this IF i read last year was SOOO inspired by awakening specifically . like i knew already that it was inspired by fire emblem in some ways, but holy shit the awakening influence is in your face. makes so much about that IF (which i love mind you. one of my favorites) make sense . like Yeah the writer definitely played and loved this game .

awakening update before i start heading to bed :) got a little further in (did chapters 6 and 7 + side story 2). umm updates. sumia will nottt stop dying . constantly dying i am so glad im not on permadeath mode because she's died like five times already. new character-wise i've picked up panne, gaius and cordelia. REALLY like cordelia . possibly more than sully but we'll see . gotta learn more about her.. panne is cool i've been using her a bit. gaius was kind of nearly dead by the time i recruited him, so i didn't use him in that first battle (since i was more focusing on having my healers heal characters i was trying to get support with lol gaius basically did nothing)

supports-wise i got a couple more.. my goal right now is to focus on c-supports so i can decide what pairings i like off the bat before committing to them.. i do think i've decided to go with chrom and robin so that lucina can be robin's awesome daughter who as far as i'm aware is the only kid with a deadline? and i think i'm on track for that because chrom and robin are the only b-support i've gotten thus far.

other supports-wise, i liked frederick and panne's. liked vaike and sully's but not at all in a way where i'm tempted to pair them up lmfao. i AM tempted by vaike and maribelle though.. we'll see.

btw i'm a little tempted to s support chrom not because i particularly want to romance chrom but because lucina seems like a cool as fuck daughter . want to have that awesome daughter

AWAKENING UPDATE !! did the first side story and picked up donny + played another two chapters, sooo now i've also got lon'qu, maribelle and umm . the little wizard kid. forget his name.

IMMEDIATE IMPRESSIONS i like all of them a lot except the little wizard.. not that i dislike him. this is a really strong cast tbh.. honestly it's already tough picking who to bring into battle with me and they just keep giving me MORE characters . fucked up . keep them coming though..

if you're curious sully is still my favorite, though i do really like maribelle. really loved her in.. i think chapter 5 is the chapter you recruit her? i knew i'd like her from her introduction and the fact i'd already heard her name (the only fates and awakening characters i know are either the Really popular ones or the ones that a lot of lesbians on twitter really care about .) but she was So good in chapter 5.. heart! and i don't think i said this explicitly yesterday but my other favorite thus far has been vaike. still like him!

supports-wise im getting used to how building support works differently here than it does in 3 houses! so i've only seen a couple supports so far. got robin and chrom's c support, that was alright. miriel and vaike's was also okay. the ones i Really enjoyed were sully and sumia's c support, and vaike and lon'qu's. i'm starting to like sumia quite a bit. frederick too, i forgive him for being suspicious earlier. i like him now.

ok i'm gonna stick a tierlist under the cut . think i'll keep posting them as i go.
