I think someone who actually managed to get off the fun bus has managed to retain their mind enough to actually go to Magnus’s Institute about it.

Why anyone would ever do that with the reputation they have these days I don’t think even the watcher could answer, but oh well.

Point is, I was just trying to do my job (cough push people off buildings cough) and our friend the archivist tried to compel me into making a statement about it! The sheer audacity!

Could you possibly tell your clone in nothing but name and fear to tell its significant other to tell his boss to lay off please?

We all know that we will leave her alone if she leaves us alone. And I do not enjoy being compelled.

Also If some ex fun passenger has gone to Ms Robinson though do you think you can find the statement they wrote? I think it would be funny to read and you are far better at getting in there vaguely undetected than I am.

If I were to rule over a fear domain it would definitely be a large library. It’s cold and no one has a voice to talk with. That being said the place is silent except for the sounds of footsteps and pages turning. The place isn’t filled with fog because that would be bad for the books, but the shelves rearrange themselves whenever two people are about to bump into one another. Essentially, the library is a constantly moving labyrinth designed to keep victims isolated from one another. The books are still fun reads though, I’m not cruel enough to leave them blank or whatever, but if people attempt to write messages on the books they’ll find that their words will sink into the pages and disappear.

Domain of the lonely but it's just normal school and you're the weird kid

corruption domain: an art museum.

- it’s a wonderful museum!! and they have plenty of classes! :)

- the artist has a lovely studio with plenty of easels and supplies

- and you have to eat the snacks :)

- you do lots of bob ross-style tutorials

- you can never get it right, though, because the things in the paint keep moving around :/

- there’s a lovely section of the museum for the art class’s work

- he made the snacks for the opening all by himself. please, help yourself

- there’s nothing bad in there i promise haha

- there’s water fountains everywhere but they’re all just full of sewage (in a cute way)

- it’s very navigable (i.e. the layout never changes), but all of the exit doors lead to packed walls of filth :)

- the gallery is full of experimental artwork. it’s good right? ignore the smell

- you always feel like you’re full of crawling creatures and slime mold. this is because you are.

- the real curse is that you do NOT get used to the smell

- but why would you want to? it’s yummy

- and the artist is there. swirling a glass of... paint? and toasting to his success

- PLEASE ask him about any painting, he loves to talk about his inspirations and research bc he put a lot of thought into every piece

- don’t be distracted by the paint and sludge coming from his mouth and nostrils

- are you even listening to him? he’s telling you about the color pallet

- he was absolutely torn between- you’re not listening. ok we’re going back to the studio to paint, you don’t deserve to hear his genius smh

kids having their fears "matured" in other domains :

beholding : theres something about the very strict surveillance of kids, modulating their every action bc they're aware of the baby camera, their mom's new app, that kid who's a snitch, the elf on the goddamn shelf

buried : could manifest in overprotected kids, feeling choked and trapped - the buried domain we saw had people literally buried in the dirt, there could also be a sand pit devoid of any toy or object that could hurt you, then the sand is what hurts

corruption : so many wayyyys. the germ-fear-mongering being done to kids yo. thats another domain where a child avatar could exist too - and kids are ruthless about exclusion and cliques from the methaphorical corruption manifestations. or just watch how to eat earthworms

desolation : we all know that pyrophile kid. hum. i had something else to say, then i remembered about hot cars. sorry, thats much closer to home than the rest of what I said

end : i think anyone can be scared of dying. a lot of kids. Given that ~elementary age is approx when people realise what death really is, there's a potential for getting this exacerbed by the new world, but in a whole domain, I guess it would have to be a corpse roots type of place, so perhaps it doesn't really exist as a child-only maturing space

flesh : thats a tricky one because I always consider the flesh as a fear that the animals have, and what we're given of it are snippets of weird overflow that manifested in humans. since the animals themselves are killed and, well, don't talk. evil petting zoo? and much like the end, kids in urban areas might realise around elementary age that chicken the animal and chicken the food are one and the same and that could manifest strangely

hunt : evil tag

lonely : the lonely's got to have a stong grip on childhood. a domain could be anywhere from a semmingly abandonned playground, a school where no one helps you, etc. In general I want to say there's something childish about the way even adults handle loneliness?

slaughter : actually i was thinking of the murder club when i said evil tag. anyway, kids are cruel. kids hurt each other and have to be told their actions hurt other kids. There's definitely a playfield out there where things are going Badly.

spiral : the normalized gaslighting we do to kids man. All day, telling them weird false things and telling them their real experiences can't be true. We don't know yet what a spiral domain looks like, except that the distortion is only one part of what the spiral entails.

stranger : boy. seen those cgi algorithmic videos on youtube? gen z and younger's stranger vibe is ppprreesseenntt.

vast : well, everywhere's big when you're small. where is everyone?

web : much like the buried, controlling, manipulative parents could easily induce a fear domain. Perhaps a teacher's the avatar there, or any kid that is much like how Annabelle Cane was as a child. Either make them afraid or make them into the Feared themselves is a valid way of maturing this world in these kids.

Anyway these are my takes plz discuss okay i have to mow the lawn now
