We've been playing Fear Nightfall. It sucks so bad but we've been having a lot of fun in creative mode :)

I am playing Fear Nightfall Remains of Chaos! It's 6th day and I am terrified cause anytime the monster herd might come to invade us! Help meh xd

Fear Nightfall is such an under-appreciated Minecraft horror modpack. I suck at the vanilla game so I’m not at all bothered by the fact I can’t get past two days in Fear Nightfall, but I’m slowly figuring it out and having so much fun it’s insane.

In my most recent try that I’ve gotten decently far in, I found an abandoned farmhouse and set up my base. I learned from previous tries to set up walls since creepers can smell your fear, so I did that and then set to fixing the farmhouse.

Little did I know. The bugs.

By nightfall, when the house was plunged into darkness, the cobblestone floors spawned so. many. silverfish. Other than spiders, silverfish are my least favorite mob in Minecraft and actually freak me out cus I hate bugs. My house ended up getting littered with my own corpses as I tried to crawl through the hole I made in the house to escape and kept failing, but I eventually was able to slip through and finally kill them all as they funneled out in a swarm.

Had to stop playing cus it was getting late and my game started lagging, but I’m super excited to get back to it later. I may talk about my previous failed attempts later on, but there’s not a lot to say about them since most of it was me slowly figuring out how the game works.

Great modpack. Right now the biggest goal I’m working towards is getting a crow friend :3

Fear Nightfall a Java Minecraft Modpack is under appreciated, and the people who play it are even more so as it takes so long to play.

Like- one person on YouTube (TheDungeonCrawler) currently has thirteen likes on their latest video on the modpack, and they have over 500 subscribers, and their PSX series easily gets more attention.

They have three videos over Fear Nightfall, and they have barely got iron in that timeframe. It’s a difficult pack to get started on (I’ve even heard another YouTuber gave up).

It’s not that the modpack sucks, on the contrary, it’s insane and packed with tons of new mobs and stuff, it’s just that it’s so unheard of compared to from the fog or others, that no one really pays it any attention, and subsequently people covering it.

This modpack introduced me to many mods, such as Hexerei, that I intended to use in my own future packs, and it introduced me to people on YouTube, Twitch, etc.

I’m not sure I’m conveying my point well, but basically just check out the modpack, or at least people making videos or streaming it.
