her full name is esmeralda alice seaton!! if you ask me, i picked her name because it was pretty tbh! and because she’s french; i went looking for french names and found those, although her last name is more english in origin… oop.

but her adoptive parents renamed her ‘esmeralda’ because of its ties to victor hugo’s the hunchback of notre-dame — ‘emerald,’ as they considered her a newfound, but still incredibly precious ( like the gemstone ), part of their lives. and ‘alice’ because one of their distant relatives shared that name, it flowed really well in their opinion.
