Her words were slurred, and as she walked forward, her steps weren't straight either. Perhaps, she had a few too much drinks, but she very much so was aware of everything around here...Just, everything seemed to be in slow motion, and something was beating her head with something. Sure, she was drunk, but Helene wasn't going to admit that.

“Michele,” Apollonia spoke, pouting a little. “Let’s go watch movie, si? Go on the date like the kids.”

Her english was still not perfect, but it was enough for her to survive communicating with people when she finally step foot in America. It was still so strange and foreign to her; the city was noisy, the people were walking faster while she, still took in the hustle and bustle of New York like a tourist would. In reality, all the things she had learned about America in Sicily didn’t really prepare her for it.

She had heard about young couples going on dates, and was told that that was how men courted women here. Hers was completely different--there were chaperones everywhere, but here--couples were completely alone!

“If you have nothing to do today only,” she added, pressing a kiss on his cheek.

The year was 2017, and a breakthrough in both science and engineering had been made. One that Kay was proud to be a part of. She had a friend who was highly skilled in both areas that had built the first working time machine. By “working” it meant that the machine turned on and powered up for use, but no had tried it until now.

She volunteered to go back in time, the date being in the late 1950s. According to textbooks, there was a mafia boss around this time that would make a good subject to meet using the time machine, but also learn about the time period from. So with the softball sized machine powered up and readied with the date logged in, Kay pressed the button that teleported her back through time.

She was teleported outside the Corleone residence, though it wasn’t long for the guards to see her and question her appearance before she was brought to the Don himself to see what her fate would be.

With Robert’s return after the war, everyone of the Delano family awaited what would happen with the mafia. The verdict came, and with Robert not wanting to return as Don, and his brother, Nicky, not wanting to be Don anymore, the position was handed down to Robert’s son, Antonio. With the help of the two previous Dons, Antonio was able to bring the mob to even greater heights.

So with the ex mob boss’s retirement, he spent the rest of his days wandering the New York streets, finally at peace with his life. He no longer had to be paranoid of people coming after him as he wasn’t seen as a threat anymore.Though after years of dealing with such things, it still left him with the heightened senses and that ability to notice things that, to normal people seemed like no big deal, but to him seemed suspicious. 

So for some time while he had been walking, he had noticed the younger man following him. On purpose, Robert led him to the nearby park where he stood by the pond to watch the ducks. 

“If yous want somethin’ from me, kid, all ya had to do was ask.”
