i think there has to be a ceremony and all that jazz. also, i remember reading somewhere that Laxus was also considered for the Wizard Saints, so I’m not sure who would get the title in the end

I'm not sure, I mean in all honesty, I'm not expecting Erza to get it, it was merely a thought now that I look back and see her funeral and how the men said they had considered her among those ranks.
