I took Luna on a walkabout through Monterey’s waterfront, compensation for spending the day in the car with me. The waterfront is eerily empty at night - and absolutely enchanting. The touristy Old Fisherman’s Wharf is a ghost town save for a handful of maintenance personnel and the occasional raft of sea lions barking. On the other side of the marina is the commercial Fisherman’s Wharf, which still sees fishing boats bring in their hauls. It’s also open for individuals to fish off of.
