EPIK HIGH - '연애소설(LOVE STORY)'
Unbind Me {{Ryewoook and IU}}-Drabble-
Going back to the government to file reports, Ryeowook thought about all the people that he met. Sure, in better circumstances, he could have been friends with them, but this was a dog eat dog world. Survival of the fittest. Death, insanity and loneliness encircled everyone. No one could be trusted.
One wrong step and he would be out. Before going to file his report on his current status, Ryeowook stopped by the Unit 4 HQ to see what was going on there. Specials were still training, supernaturals were also training. As he walked down the long hallway to the offices, he heard a slight sniffle from one of the rooms.
Looking at the file outside the room, he read quietly to himself. "Lee Jieun. 18. Special. Healing." he muttered to himself as he read the file. Seeing a fellow government worker pass by, Ryeowook made a motion. "OI! You! What is she doing here? Her ability is useless. We already have a special that has a healing ability," he said, his tone authoritative.
"Um, Kim-sshi, she was brought in by the police. We haven't had the time to look at her yet, since she is a former escaped," the worker said, scurrying off. Ryeowook looked at the door. He wasn't extremely heartless that he would let someone be sad and simply cry their eyes out while he stood there with the ability to do something but not do it.
However, that could wait. He had a report to file. He would come back later and help this Lee Jieun out.
Time passed, and soon it was night. Ryeowook knew that that was the perfect time to help the girl out and he knocked quietly on her door.
She opened the door, and Ryeowook could see that she was pretty underneath the red stained eyes and the tear trails on her cheeks. "I want to help you out," he said, sticking his foot in the door before she had the time to slam it in his face.
"I don't need the help," she stated. Ryeowook could see through her lie, though. The girl was suffering here and even though she would be suffering on the outside too, it would be better.
Ryeowook scoffed. "I am offering my help. You wouldn't be so stupid as to reject it," he said, a hidden tone lining his voice.
Jieun gulped and looked at the young man in front of her. Finally nodding in hesitation, she went back inside the room and quickly packed her belongings. Ryeowook waited outside the room, watching the hallways.
As soon as she came out of the room, the young man quickly grabbed her hand and dragged her through the hallways. "Ah, Kim-ssshi!" a worker approached the duo. Ryeowook simply waved a hand and trapped the worker in an illusion. He didn't give Jieun any time to process anything as he pushed her towards the exit.
"Why are you doing this for me??" she exclaimed.
"Because I've done many bad things in my life," he simply said. Ryeowook made a move to open the door for her.
As she stepped past him, she asked, "Will you at least tell me your name?"
He shook his head no. "You'll know who I am when we meet again," he said.
She walked away quickly, his figure getting smaller and smaller behind her. Ryeowook simply sighed. He helped her get away and the next time they meet, he would have to be the one to bring her back.
Betrayal at the deepest level.
