Tracked // Ryeowook & Seungho
Seungho was barely aware of the conversation that took place just beside him. It was all he could do to just keep his eyes open from the searing pain. Goddamn scientists. If they wanted to kill me, why not just stick a knife in my heart? Why do they always have to make people live in agony for so fucking long?
He barely even felt the needle piercing into his skin.
"It will take a while to work but it works."
He blinked hard, and his fingernails dug into his palm as he struggled not to scream in pain.
After what felt like 10 years of pain, Seungho finally managed to breathe normally again. He panted on the table, and eventually managed to sit up on the table. It still felt as though his whole body was on fire, but it wasnât as debilitating as before.
Seungho regarded the other warily, âThanks,â he said after a long moment. He didnât ask why the other had helped him; he didnât have enough breath at the moment.
He looked away to the table and concentrated. He saw a few vials shudder and shake before letting his mind roam elsewhere, a tiny smile crossing his face. At least they didnât rob me of my ability yet.
"So what now?" he asked Ryeowook. "Those guys will be back for me." He snickered without amusement, almost baring his teeth at the pain. "Iâve probably done enough to the labs in the city for them to never give up on torturing me," he muttered.
Ryeowook thought for several moments as the other adjusted to the antidote. The young man paced the room, thinking. âYouâre welcome,â he said, still thinking. As he was asked what now, Ryeowook sighed. âI donât know,â he said. This was new. The illusionist had nothing to do or say. He liked this feeling of uncertainty. The illusionist blinked. "Well, they kind of fear me more. So, when I declare things or people as my toys, they should know better but they don't and then it annoys me and I have to trap them in my imaginary world," he said, swinging his feet back And forth from the chair that he had sat in.
"You should be happy that they didn't steal your ability. That will be needed. Actually, you should be happy that they didn't have the time to take it," he said, thinking. As Seungho said that they will be back for him since he had done enough to the labs in the city for them to never stop torturing him, Ryeowook pursed his lips. "Well, I could always help you escape, since you are my toy. Your file will always come back to me, since I am the one who goes to capture. It's not a cry for help for me, it's entertainment. You can obviously see what sort of amusement I get here." he said, laughing a bit to himself.
"Just give me a moment to change out of this pyjama and I'll give you hand in escaping. However, this means that for now and in the future, we are going to be awkward allies and friends," Ryeowook said. Turning on his heel, he smirked. "Oh, and the key for this room, the only copy of the key is with me, so they can't get in here." he added. He walked out of the room and locked the door behind him.
Breaking the Mentality || Ryeowook and Tao ||
He he made sure the coast was clear before he headed out again. Taking that night to rest definitely did him well, the wounds he sustained from the day before completely healed over. His ankle was a little worse for wear still however, his slight healing ability only able to take care of the cuts and bruises over night. He needed more time before his ankle was good to go again, he thought, and he only hoped he wasnât going to run into anyone to hinder that.Â
He walked carefully through the shadows the buildings casted, trying to avoid being seen. Maybe he should have just stayed where he was for another night.
Hearing a familiar voice, and nickname, one he hadnât been called in years, he froze.
"Ryeowook." His eyes narrowed, and he frowned. He knew exactly what he wanted, and Zitao wasnât in the mood for it.
Ryeowook smirked. The top of his list and right in front of him. He might as well have a bit of fun with the other. "Aw, Tao, why so mean?" he asked, blinking innocently. This annoyed Ryeowook slightly. He was not given the respect that he so rightfully deserved. "I didn't hurt you all that much when we were together, did I?" he asked, his voice annoyingly pleasant. He learned of things much quicker than most, so looking Zitao up and down, Ryeowook's smirk spread wider across his lips.
He had hurt his ankle. This was the ideal opportunity for Ryeowook to strike. He chuckled. "Well, then, Tao, let's play a game and have a tea party," he said, chuckling darkly. He was twisted enough to pull the Mad Hatter's Tea Party out of his illusion bag of trick.
"What do you say?" he asked, smirking. "After all, Tao-darling...you never played against me," he added.
Breaking the Mentality || Ryeowook and Tao ||
Ryeowook was taking a break. He leaned against a wall and stretched his muscles a bit. Oh, how he missed his suits, and all of his nice clothes but this would have to do for quite some time. He closed his eyes, mentally running through all the names. He adjusted his hoodie and stood up. âAlright. Time to get to work!â he exclaimed, to himself. He stretched his fingers and in mere moments, created an illusion. He had a preference to Alice in Wonderland as a child, so most of his illusions were Wonderland-esque in nature.
He quickly removed the illusion, hearing footsteps. Ryeowook looked around, his thoughts hoping that it wasnât someone he had to catch. He looked up and smirked slightly seeing a familiar tall figure. When was the last time he saw him? Two, three years ago?
Tao. The precious silent assassin at the top of his list.
His ability just annoyed him to end. Not many could easily escape Ryeowookâs elaborate illusions and Taemin was one of those people who could. His eyes narrowed. âWell, well wellâŠTaoTao~â he said, smiling sweetly at the younger boy. âBeen a while, hasnât it?â he asked.
What's merciful? || Open ||
Ryeowook really had no regard for human life most of the time. His parents, now gone, had instilled in him a view that he was always the best. He was the best. That was what he had grown believing in. So, when he had left the government a week ago, he managed to run into a person who then immediately started begging him for help. Ryeowook didnât do charity. That was not how he was raised nor what he believed in.
"Get away!" he exclaimed, pushing the man off him. He brushed his clothes off, used to cleanliness of his clothes. He turned to look at the man and crossed his arms. "You need to be taught a lesson about touching other people," he said, his tone menacing.
Sure, he was shorter than the other, but he could still intimidate. Ryeowook felt that he could drive the man in front of him insane within a short time. He carefully trapped the man in a carefully crafted illusion that only the man could see. Ryeowook moved off to the side to watch his ability get the better of the man.
Minutes later, the man was screaming for mercy, begging Ryeowook to stop, however Ryeowook took the screams in and let a smirk ride on his lips. Hearing a gasp close by, the young man looked over. He didnât like being interrupted while he tortured people.
"Yes?" he asked, obviously a bit irked. He turned his attention away from the screaming man, intesifying the illusion and looked over at his side.

Tracked // Ryeowook & Seungho
Seungho heard a familiar voice, as he grimaced on the table. His eyes were squeezed tightly shut to prevent himself from being blinded by the harsh white lights shining down on him. â- I hate it when people take my toys without my permission.â He almost snapped back before he realized that it would probably be wiser to keep quiet. It seemed as though the other would have a lot of authority, especially in a lab.
Why the hell is he objecting though? What else does he expect them to do to me after theyâve caught me? Just stick me in a cell forever? Seungho felt the lights click off above him, and he frowned before opening his eyes warily. The scientist he had seen before was standing in front of the illusionist. His assistant had turned off the lights, but tightened the straps around his wrists and ankles on the table. Seungho almost rolled his eyes. Itâs not like I can go anywhere with guards at every corner.
Seungho spied a small movement that the scientist made behind his back, concealed from the illusionist with his body. The assistant immediately jabbed a thick needle into Seunghoâs arm, shooting some clear liquid deep into his forearm. This action was blocked by his own body, and Seungho guessed the the illusionist was too concentrated on the scientist to bother anyways. After a few seconds, the scientist and his assistant swept from the room, leaving it empty, save for Seungho and the other male.
Seungho felt his stomach flip, and he shot the other a look, âI am not your toy,â he growled between gritted teeth. He was about to ask why the other bothered to stop the scientist, when he felt a metallic taste in the back of his throat. Seunghoâs eyes widened slightly when he realized what it was, only a second before he turned his head to the side, and his stomach heaved, forcing him to choke on, then spit out his own blood. He felt extremely cold, but really hot at the same time, his body shaking uncontrollably on the table. His vision started to blur, and he tried but failed to keep in a pained scream. It felt like thousand of knives were being slowly pushed through his body. His eyes stared up blankly at the ceiling, pain rocketing through his unresponsive body. What the hell was that liquid?
Ryeowook watched as the scientist and his assistant left, leaning back against the wall. They really had no better ways to get on the young man's nerves. As the other growled out that he wasn't his toy, Ryeowook scoffed. "Shush.. don't speak. Here, you are my toy, if you want to stay alive. The scientists fear me more than they show. I can have their asses handed to my father and that wouldn't be good for them," he said, looking pointedly at the other. It annoyed Ryeowook that he was supposed to be the mean grouch. Ryeowook wasn't mean. He just didn't like people.
As he noticed that his toy began shaking and twitching, Ryeowook recognized the symptoms. He had been injected with a poison that would make a death so painful and so slow. He walked out of the room and came back a few moments with the same scientist who had left the room earlier, under his control. "Reverse it," he said, his voice commanding. "You injected me with the same poison three years ago," he said, "I know there's an antidote, since I am still alive," he said. The scientist reached into the jacket. "Kim-sshi....I can't," he said. Ryeowook intensified the illusion with a touch and glared at him.
"You will. " he simply said. Ryeowook offered the other a smile as the scientist reached for the antidote. Injecting him with antidote, the scientist left, still trapped in Ryeowook's illusionary world. Ryeowook looked to the other for a moment and sighed. "It will take a while to work but it works," he said.

If I lay here || Open-Para (Kind of ??)
It was fascinating, watching his skin turn white where he applied pressure to. Retracting his finger, the skin turned back to itâs original frosty red. The temperature had dropped below usual, condemning anything stuck outside. Kyungsoo was still outside, having not found somewhere for the night to set up camp. By camp he meant taking off his jacket and using it as a pillow, or if it was too cold then keeping the jacket on and using one of his arms or his canned food filled bag.Â
Wiggling his toes, Kyungsoo chuckled as the prickly feeling spread throughout his feet; pins and needles, his mother would have called it. The usual step in eradicating it was stomping around as his mother looked on, laughing with him. He would stomp around trying to get his blood moving and it was funny to do and even more so to watch. Trying the same approach now wouldnât work exactly, not when the energy it took to stomp around wasnât worth losing. The fun was out of it too, his mother wasnât here to laugh with him, she never would be and no one else was around. Plus, he wasnât a little kid anymoreâ a stubborn thought passed through his head as if he were trying to prove that to someone else, as a child does.Â
A few slight body tremors pulled him back out of his thoughts. The temperature was still dropping and his teeth clattering and constant clenching of his abdomen had started to hurt, he needed warmth. There had to be warmth, something, maybe a fireâ but how were fires made? He remembered the fires from there, how they flickered blue prettily and how much he wanted to touch them at first not knowing the consequences but he didnât want those kinds of fires now, no matter how cold it got. They were bad.Â
Reaching out both his hands, he pressed them against the Earth and got himself up, leaning down again for his bag. It had gotten lighter over time, no matter how little he tried to eat to preserve it, he would need more but after he had found heat. He wobbled slightly on his feet, dizzy, and squeezed his eyes shut when black spots appeared across his vision. A small whimper left his throat but he opened his eyes again and started stumbling across the ashy ground, his eyes forming an imaginary path in front of every step he took like the ones illustrated in his fairy tale picture books. It was bricked with cute little blue flowers along the sides just waiting to watch him walk along past them, the shy ones smiles while the more outgoing ones said hello and he smiled back at them in acknowledgement. He liked the flowers, he wished that he could have a pot with a pretty lilac flower for himself, but that was a selfish thought because the Earth needed them more than he did, she was looking a little grey and needed some colour in her life!
It was gradual and he didnât really notice when things started getting warmer about an hour after his first visit with the flowers but soon his usual imaginations had changed. The flowers were familiar and usual but this⊠this was different. He wasnât lost, he couldnât have been when he knew this place like he had been here his whole life. His neighbourhood. His building stood mighty and proud in front of him but also gave off a warm welcoming feeling. How had he not noticed this before? He had been so close and only now found it? He saw his parents standing by the playground with some kid who, after a few steps, he recognized as Baekhyun. He stumbled over as quickly as he could, clinging to his motherâs legs and smiling up at his dad before looking over at Baekhyun who seemed ready to play.Â
He couldnât have counted how long they had spent going down slides and taking turns pushing each other on the swings; sometimes Kyungsooâs parents would have them sit on swings beside each other and swing them both. It was the most fun he had ever had. Once they had tired themselves out, his parents had brought them each a mug of perfectly warmed hot cocoa, not too hot but not cold. It warmed his tummy and defrosted his finger tips and toes, he felt so much better. He realized that he wouldnât have to search anymore, he had found his family and there was nothing else he would want or need. With him sitting with Baekhyun and his parents sipping out of cute animation illustrated mugs, everything was perfect just as it was.
Ryeowook watched the petite boy from his spot in the shadows. The boy was crazy. It seemed to Ryeowook that even if he trapped the boy in his own past memories that the boy would fight against the illusion. But no....he wasn't fighting against the memories in the illusion that Ryeowook had skillfully created. For Ryeowook, it was the first time that he used this side of his ability. Trapping someone in their memories. He sighed and came out of his hiding spot in the shadows to watch the young boy in front of him. He had met the boy in front of him back in the government. Ryeowook was close to the boy, however he wasn't as close to him as he would have liked.
He didn't want to torture his friend anymore, since he did consider him a friend to some extent. He waved a hand, removing the illusion of a happy memory. "I'm sorry. I don't want to hurt you even more," he said, sighing softly. He just stood behind D.O, quietly humming and talking. "It wouldn't be something that a friend would do. Ryeowook had been rather cruel to the other boy during their time together in the government, but it was merely because Ryeowook had to be the best. Back then, he didn't care who he hurt and now he was seeing the repercussions of everything. He still admired everyone who worked at the government to keep people like himself and D.O from escaping, but he had more respect for those who escaped the dark, evil clutches of the government.
"I just wanted to give you a few moments of happiness. You looked like you needed it. After all, you look like death itself descended upon you." Ryeowook stated eloquently. He adored his friends, but his ability only allowed him to control the illusions for moments at a time.
"Hey you!" She called, her eyes narrowing suspeciously. "You're one of us, aren't you? Working for the big guys?" A sly smile formed on her lips as he approached the figure. She saw him around the labs a few times, she knew he was one of the abnormals but he got his approvals, she could do nothing about it. "I caught myself some half wit, would you do he honor of bringing him in yourself?" ( --â Enter Ryeowook's POV.
Jiyeon noona was always highly respected by Ryeowook. He had trained under her very briefly, so it was kind of not surprising that she didnât remember him. As she called out to him, asking whether he was one of them and working for the big guys, Ryeowook nodded. âOf course, noona,â he said. He was always around the labs simply because his father worked there and in the government. As she asked whether he could bring in the half wit she caught, Ryeowook internally clapped to himself. Oh, she was actually asking him to help. His idol. He always wanted to be like her. Cold, cruel and absolutely amazing. He bowed quickly and nodded. âYes, noona!â he exclaimed, with the smile and ran outside to bring in whoever she caught.

Tracked // Ryeowook & Seungho
Seunghoâs eyes narrowed, âYou donât have to bring people in, but you do it just to free yourself from boredom? You sacrifice peopleâs lives and sanity for yourself just to leave this place for a few hours? Do you have any idea how much pain people have to go through in labs like this?â he spat. Images of Jihyun came back into his mind, how she was so ignorant of the new world around her, how she was so terrified of everyone and everything the first time he met her.Â
Anger bubbled within him as the guards took him into a bedroom, pushing him into the room. Seungho felt his stomach turn at the otherâs words and almost lunged at him. Once the bedroom door was shut, he glared into the empty space, sitting down at the bed. Hands shaking, they gripped the bedframe. Heâs the one with the giraffe obsession, no? It fits him, being so childlike with the t-shirt and all.Â
Seunghoâs eyes turned grey, and the windows clattered behind him as wind blew strongly around the complex. âThat guy is bringing in people for a lifetime of pain and suffering in exchange for leaving this place for a few hours. Government workers arenât dicks, my ass. Youâve just been here for long enough to forget what horrors the governmentâs doing to the world. The worldâs messed up enough without people getting experimented on, and the people who help the government are no worse than the people sticking needles with poison into the bodies of the innocent.âÂ
He almost growled in annoyance, his shaking grip causing the thin bedframe to shake slightly. Taking a deep breath, Seungho calmed himself down barely, before laying down on the bed and attempting to get some sleep.Â
Barely 4 hours later, the sudden opening of the door awoke Seungho, and he felt rough hands dragging him out of the room. He felt his back being slammed onto a table, and a quick glance around told him that he was in a laboratory room. His wrists were tied down to the table, and a man in a lab coat walked into the room with a clipboard and a wicked smile. âNow, Yang Seungho-ssi, isnât it? Weâre going to have some fun today.âÂ
Ryeowook had followed the guards as they took Seungho to the room. He pondered the question asked by Seungho. "You really think I don't know how much pain people go through in the labs? I grew up in the labs. I've been experimented on since I was 10. My father himself gave me up to the unit, to the scientists." he stated. Ryeowook was digusted that the older would even think that. Deciding that it was better to ignore the further questions, he simply left the room and crawled into bed.
A mere few hours later, though, the illusionist was awakened. The labs were unluckily close to the bedroom of the illusionist and being a light sleeper, the very first move next door woke Ryeowook up. He took a deep breath and tried to will himself to go back to sleep, but when he heard dragging noise, Ryeowook pulled himself out of bed and sighed. "It's 4AM. Why so damn early?" he asked himself, and headed out of his room. He walked by the lab and backed up a bit, spotting his toy on the table and a voice claiming that they were going to have some fun. Ryeowook hated when other people stole his toys. He stepped into the lab and cleared his throat.
"It's four fucking o'clock in the morning. You know I hate hearing sounds no earlier than 8AM. Which means, you are four hours too early," the illusionist stated. His tone of voice had changed from the sweet tone that he used with Seungho earlier to a menacing, commanding tone. He was going to use his full power at the government as the son of one of the leading politicians. Ryeowook grabbed the clipboard from the man in the lab coat and scanned it. He huffed. "You should also know I hate it when people take my toys without my permission," he said, annoyed.
Tracked // Ryeowook & Seungho
Almost having fallen asleep, Seungho was more than annoyed to hear the door open and close. Is it the guards again? His heart dropped when he heard a voice he had learned to associate with annoyance. It was the illusionist again. He opened his eyes a crack, to see the other in ridiculously childish attire.Â
His mind wandered back to the conversation he had overheard from the guards. It had something to do with stuffed animals, particularly giraffes. Seungho wondered if this man could possibly be the same person. Judging by his appearance now⊠Itâs actually pretty likely.Â
He almost groaned out loud. Seungho closed his eyes again, and waited almost anther minute for his headache to subside a little before sighing and staring blankly at the man. âWhy are you back again?â he asked in a bored tone, âDonât you have others of your own kind to bring in for a life of mutilation? Or do you just like to aggravate the people you catch as some sort of torture?â He leaned back against the walls, and stretched out his legs, yawning. âAnd I was just about to fall asleep, too.â Rude much. Speaking of rude. I wonder why this guy thinks heâs older than me⊠To be calling me âSeungho-ahâ. Iâm not in that kind of relationship with you for you to be calling me âSeungho-ahâ, regardless of age.Â
Seungho rubbed the sore spot on his upper arm where the guard had tased him, and grimaced, closing his eyes again, and trying to ignore the man on the other side of the room, and instead trying to will himself back to sleep.Â
Ryeowook crossed his legs and smiled slightly, used to this treatment. The other was annoyed that he was back. His questions pierced Ryeowook deeper though than all the previous times. "No, I don't. It's not a requirement for me," he said, watching Seungho. The older man seemed uncomfortable on the floor and Ryeowook thought for a few moments. "I don't have to bring people in. I just do. It's an excuse to get away from all this for a couple of hours," he said, getting up. He opened the door and looked to the two guards.
"Bring him to the room across from mine," he said. He then turned back to Seungho. "I'm being nice to you, hyung. You should accept it," he said, leaving the room. The two guards walked back in and took Seungho according to Ryeowook's instructions. They left him in the bedroom and Ryeowook smiled. "I can be nice when I want to be, so don't go assuming that all government workers are dicks with no soul," he replied, shutting his bedroom door.
