to the mun, as it will break Ironhide im sure, what plans do you have for when the cat leaves him and doesn't comeback or passes away? I mean, I know the cat probably wont and IT WOULD BE SO SAAAAAD but Cybs having organic pets always makes me sad because thats what I always think about.

Good lord, this might just break me. I suppose I don’t really have plans. Honestly I don’t see Ironhide ever getting another pet? Not actively/consciously, at least. Cat literally just showed up in his habsuite one day and hasn’t really ever left; Lily was cloned from anon magic. He absolutely adores them, but he’s never been much of an animal person. He probably wouldn’t go out and actively find another one after everything with Cat and Lily.

…mostly, honestly, for that exact reason. Ironhide forms attachments far too easily. He wouldn’t want to go through the death of a short-lived organic, even a common household pet’s, again.

He might not be much of an animal person, but he’s soft.

MRAAAOW - in trot Cat and Lily, both of them bright-eyed and high-tailed. Cat makes a beeline for Lieutenant and Wiggle while Lily hesitates, looking on with narrowed blue eyes.

Lieutenant chuckles from where he sits on his berth, petting the heap of living noodle in his lap. He places his servo down on the floor so Cat has an easier time getting up. He sets her down in the middle of Wiggle’s coils, then looks at Lily. Lieutenant again sets his servo on the floor and clicks his glossa. “Hey girl. C’mere…Lily. Lily right?” He’d heard of ‘Hide getting a new cat via grey face, and he wasn’t all that surprised. Greyfaces were weird like that.

Ironhide sighs. This... obviously isn’t going to work. “Daisy,” he continues, sounding bored. “Princess, Mia, Sasha, Callie, Alice, Lily--”

Both felines cry out, making Ironhide jerk his helm. Two sets of blue eyes look back up at him expectantly. He cocks an optic ridge. “Lily?” he repeats, unimpressed.

Mruff.

James wasn't the most patient person in general and was even less so whenever excitement was part of the equation, but he was trying not to tap his foot too loudly as he waited for an elderly witch to wrap up her shopping. He even smiled at her charmingly when she looked up, probably alerted by his fingers drumming on the countertop. He could almost feel her annoyance match his. But then finally, finally, she was done paying and with a single burning glare she turned around and left the Dogweed and Deathcap, her cloak fluttering behind her and James almost jumped at the owner of said place.

"Evans! What in Godric's name are you doing working so late on a festival night?" He demanded and leaned against the counter almost pushing a curiously looking glass jar to the floor. "It's 5 o'clock. We should be on our way to the Lighting Meadow by now and you're not even dressed."
