waaah I want to crochet, but my hand keeps going numb after like 10 minutes

also, I have a strong aversion to patterns, so after spending...not last weekend, but the weekend before that learning what feather pattern I wanted to use, I did not do the sensible thing and try to find out if anyone else has ever done this sort of thing and instead decided to...ahem...wing it

what worries me is that I'll spend the first couple layers figuring out what I want to do and then the rest will be considerably better than the beginning. But I suppose that is a risk that anyone takes with a big project that in a craft that you increase in skill at over time

She is finally ready! I'm unbelievably proud of how this turned out. Only broke my sewing machine twice!

If you're at TRF on Saturday, look for me in this cloak and a purple glowing staff. I'll be giving away my arrows!

Ah, the glamorous work of making jewelry... here is the cape in its strangest working configuration so far, set up in my parents' living room on two wreath hangers, a curtain rod, and shower curtain clips so I can see any gaps and fill them in with silver paint without constantly repositioning the cape on the ironing board.

The show is just over a week away! I have to hurry to finish it on time!

Well, its 1:45 AM and I've been sewing since 9 PM but all feathers are now on the cloak! Later today I'll count the number of feathers I have left over and do a feathers made/feathers used comparison
