May 2017, Blue Jay (Cyanocitta cristata) feather illustration, Diamine cool mint ink.
The first primary is messed up but oh well. Primaries (big feathers, think fingertips) and primary covers (little and striped, think wrists).
I wanted to see what I could do with this ink when I used it both with a paintbrush (diluted) and a fountain pen. I adjusted the scan color to try to capture how extremely vivid the ink looks in person. Look at the layering possible with this ink adflkjgh
