Find a #psychrock song

Feather Weight - Volcano

"Volcano" is the latest single from Toronto psych/garage/dream pop band Feather Weight.

This song deals with themes of human repression in the psyche and an exploration of emotional expression. Lyrics like “And it’s creeping up, a little inner strut, a little foreign ghost, suddenly explodes” or "It’s pushing up to find the light, it’s got a ravenous appetite, I want to hold it in my hand, I want to never have to do it again” highlight these matters, over top of a misleadingly upbeat and foot tapping melody with post punk and indie rock flavors. This is the second in a set of two singles written & recorded a couple months after forming.  The band is now working on what will become the debut EP in summer 2019. (press release)
