“I promise this is different. Come on.” There was a hesitancy to her excitement. While she was confident in what she was doing it was his reaction that had her feeling uncertain. Jasmine strode towards the back patio, pushing aside the curtains as she did so knowing full well he was behind her. On the smooth concrete was a carefully drawn conjuring circle, an ornate mirror, one white candle and one orange candle. Both remained unlit, though a lighter laid in the center. Carefully stepping into the circle he motioned for him to come stand with her.

“Oh I don’t blame you. If I saw something like that happen to Agent Barton or Agent Morse I’d giggle too. Cute reminders we’re still human.” Her own laughter echoed in the near empty room at the air quotes. “I see. Pleasure to meet you Agent Newberry.” Glancing over her shoulder at the paper target then back to Agent Newberry. “Aside from that last throw it’s been good. Just trying to find that sweet spot.”

Jasmine was positive Edgar knew she was coming home. In the letter she had sent months ago outlined her entire trip and he would definitely have kept that around or put it in his calendar. 

As she exited the walkway she pulled out her phone. For a moment she considered calling her father but that was simply habit, not who she actually wanted to talk to. Before she could talk herself out of it she scrolled to Edgar’s number and dialed. As he picked up she just launched right into it.  “Hey uhm, I just landed at the airport. I was wondering if you could pick me up.”

The sound of the crashing coincided rather well with Luca’s entrance. Glancing around the room he saw that a single table was not the only casualty of Edgar’s rage. When Edgar’s attention turned towards him he shrugged, confusion evident in his features.  “Don’t apologize, and certainly don’t stop on my account. Please....continue.”

His stern response, the accusation he was putting on her was shocking. Without hesitation she stepped away from him, her hands curling into fists at her sides. There was an attempt at civility perhaps, though she only viewed it as saving face.

“Do you believe I am so unsatisfied, so greedy, as to need more than what each of you give me? Years. It has been years since my eyes even wandered and still you accuse me?”

This back talking is proof enough of that.” He simply rose a brow at her demanding he leave. Luca certainly wasn’t just going to walk out because she said so. They didn’t work like that.

Surprise Girlfriend | Leah & Fearne

Leah was almost in full princess mode, hair all done up and make-up more prominent than her average palette. She had to hold up that persona all day and was grateful to leave that at the front door when she arrived home. With two bags on one arm, three bags on the other as headed straight to her bedroom. After a short fight with the door knob she opened the door and was greeted with Fearne in her living room.

“Well aren’t you a sight for sore eyes.”
