Featured ANT - Liana Aghajanian, Journalist

                             LIANA AGHAJANIAN "I was surprised to discover ANTVibes, and even more excited to actually put it to use.  After a lifetime dealing with name mispronunciation, having the opportunity to record my name and make it available for acquaintances, colleagues, future employers and whoever else would like to get in touch was immensely liberating. The truth is that we're all at some point going to come across names we have difficulty with - a side effect of being fortunate enough to live in diverse communities - but if we have the opportunity to learn how to pronounce them, life becomes easier and most importantly, pleasant."

Liana Aghajanian is a journalist who has written for Journalist, LAWeekly, EurasiaNet, LATimes, and NAM, to name a few. She mainly covers culture, international relations, human rights, the South Caucasus, Middle East and extraordinary issues affecting ordinary people. Featured ANT - Keziah Myers, G7/Universal

"This is a great tool for those of us who have unique names. For me, personally, this would be great for professors or for those doing any type of role call, however I must admit I do like having a name that is unique, because it creates conversation. Often people will stop, look at my name, hestitate, and now (at 25 years old) I just say "Keziah", at which point they ask me "Where is that from?" (The Bible - Job 42:14), "What does it mean?" (Spice of Life).

  Being born in Canada I am quite used to having people mis-pronounce my name, but I take the opportunity to enlighten and educate people, along with showing a side of my personality. On the flipside, this can be very annoying when you are receiving an honours of some sort and the person does say your name right - at which point there is no place to correct them..."
