I loved Kaldo from Mashle! His character design was awesome and he amused me every time he showed up 😊 I really wish the manga had done more with him but I am happy with what we got. I couldn’t resist writing for him though and I hope you lovelies enjoy these little thoughts and headcanons I have for him!

I personally headcanon Kaldo as a bit of a germophobe, hence the constant wearing of his gloves. He doesn’t like to touch things with his bare hands and especially hates bare-handed touching of other people, whose hygiene habits he doesn’t know or trust.

Though Kaldo knows logically that he’s someone others consider handsome (he has a fairly large fan club that never lets him forget it), he doesn’t actually care too much about his own appearance and isn’t vain about it like Ryoh. He is hygienic, clean, and he takes care of his physical health, but when it comes to his appearance, as long as he looks neat and tidy and fits the public image of what a Divine Visionary should be, that’s all that really matters to him.

One of Kaldo’s most prominent traits, a canon thing we see so very often, is his huge sweet tooth. He is obsessed with and loves everything sweet and a meal isn’t a meal without some sort of sweet element to it for him. He brushes his teeth religiously after each of his meals and snacks because he knows the havoc sweets can play on your teeth but he still manages to get cavities caused by his diet which he ignores for as long as he can, mostly because Kaldo dislikes (and is a little scared of) the dentists. He mostly just really hates their lectures on his chosen diet, to be honest.

I have a personal headcanon that Kaldo, as a hobby, is a beekeeper and he gets all his honey from his very own hives. He names each of his hives and talks to his bees while he tends to the hives.

Because his personal magic has to do with heat, I think Kaldo’s body runs hotter than normal as well. He’s very warm to the touch and he tends to always feel warm. It’s very rare for him to get cold and when he does, it annoys the hell out of him.

Kaldo likes just quietly observing other people. He’s a little nosey, to be honest. He likes knowing other’s secrets and he hoards all the best gossip, though he’s not loose tongued with it. It just delights him to know things he shouldn’t or other’s secrets.

Kaldo is someone who gets cranky and awful without enough sleep. He needs at least seven to eight hours to perform his daily tasks properly and to remain sweet-tempered. He gets raging headaches too when he hasn’t had enough sleep, which only makes his temper worse.

Featured Fandom - K Project

Hello, hello, my lovelies 😊 As I said, as I got further into my revisit of K Project, I would post a featured fandom event for it! I’ve read quite a bit of the short stories and such, though I still have a few to finish up. I’ve finished the first season and the Missing Kings movie and only have five more episodes of Season 2 to watch. I need to finish up the spin-off manga but all in all, I’m confident that I should have the revisit done within a month, which gives all you lovelies plenty of time to send in requests for this gorgeous and underappreciated fandom!! This also gives anyone interested in doing this revisit along with me a month to check out the anime at least, which is just a short 2 season one (13 episodes per season)! I hope any and all K fans, both the existing ones and hopefully any new ones who check it out, will find prompts here that will spark their interest, but if they don’t, all prompts from previous fandoms are open to be requested for K Project as well! Unlike the previous months, this month’s featured fandom will work a little different. Because I’ll be doing events like this for each fandom as I revisit them, this month’s event is only open for requests for K Project and KHR. Previous month’s prompts are only accepted for K Project this time, since KHR recently got an opening for that. And of course, since we last talked about Abel, I can’t just talk about him and not mention Abyss, who is such a sweet boy and such a good boy and who I love deeply. To mimic Abel’s post, I used the same prompt for Abyss and hope you lovelies also enjoy these thoughts 😊

Sleep headcanon

Abyss never sleeps well in the dorms. It’s a really good thing that he can naturally just get by with less sleep than a lot of people. As long as he can catch 5-6 hours a day, even caught via napping in places he feels comfortable (like Abel’s quarters), Abyss stays pretty sharp and well-regulated. The problem with sleeping at night in his dorm is that Wirth’s habit of reading late into the night keeps Abyss awake, since Wirth doesn’t realize he makes little sounds while he’s reading and keeps his book-light turned up to the brightest setting.

Sad headcanon

Abyss’s parents never attempt to contact him again after he leaves for school. They don’t send him letters and while he’s tried writing home a few times, to assure his parents of the happiness and use he’s found at school, he never receives a reply.

Happy headcanon

Other than when he’s around Abel, Abyss feels the most at peace alone in the forest. He finds being surrounded by nature to be very relaxing and he craves it, especially after years of being locked up and forbidden from going outside. Everything from the sight of the forest animal to the smell of the earth and plants just brings him happiness and a feeling of inner peace.

Angry/violent headcanon

Abyss is never loud in his anger. His anger is very focused and almost serene, though it’s also always quite violent. If he can avoid violence, he will, in most cases, but this seems to go out the window when people make Abyss truly angry, which happens whenever Abel or his friends are hurt.

Sex headcanon

I really don’t think Abyss thinks about sex all that often. The topic kind of makes him uncomfortable. Because Abyss is so nervous and distrusting of most people, while he does have sexual urges, he prefers to take care of them himself and the idea of being sexual with someone is simply too overwhelming for him.

Bedroom/house/living quarters headcanon

After graduating, I think Abyss moves in with Abel, wherever Abel decides to move. It’s not a discussion and I don’t think Abyss really gives Abel a choice. Abyss has just decided that he would spend the rest of his life serving Abel and the only way for him to do that is to constantly be near Abel.

Romantic headcanon

Abyss, despite being uncomfortable and really embarrassed about real life romance, actually really enjoys romance novels. His favourite genres in romance are romantasy and historical romance and he really loves stories about dashing knights who serve and are in romantic entanglements with their lieges.

Family headcanon

Abyss never wants to build a biological family of his own. The idea terrifies him. He doesn’t want to risk passing on the Evil Eye. He doesn’t want to risk ruining a child’s life like that. On top of that, because of the actions of his own parents, he worries that he would become like them and would neglect or traumatize his own children.

Friendship headcanon

I think that, though it takes several years of repeated, consistent contact and kindness, patience, and understanding on Lemon’s part, Abyss does eventually become friends with Lemon as well as the others, making her his first female friend. She helps his eventually become more used to talking to and befriending girls.

Quirks/hobbies headcanon

In an odd little physical quirk, Abyss blinks way less often than a normal, average person does. It’s a little unsettling at times, honestly.

Likes/dislikes headcanon

Since I did a like for Abel, I’ll do a dislike here for Abyss. Weird little headcanon but I personally headcanon that Abyss hates bubble gum. He doesn’t like the feel of it in his mouth; he hates the sounds it makes while he (or other people) chews it. He doesn’t even really like the smell of it.

Childhood headcanon

Back before his Evil Eye manifested, when he was a young child, Abyss was a really happy kid and very beloved by his parents. He loved tagging along after his mother during her day to days and looked forward to the one day a month that his father would do ‘take your kid to work day.’ Abyss would get to sit on his father’s lap, scribbling out drawings or doing practice worksheets, while his father worked and he always felt like such a big boy doing that. Because he did have such a loving home and such a happy childhood, it made what happened when the Eye did manifest so much worse for him.

Old age/aging headcanon

Abyss lives a very long life. I think he ages gracefully and he keeps his mental wits about him way into old age. He goes deaf and starts losing some of his sight before he loses any mental functioning.

Cooking/food headcanon

Abyss isn’t the best cook and he doesn’t enjoy it. However, he worries about Abel’s diet, so he puts in a lot of time, effort, and work into learning how to cook, even if it’s not an enjoyable process. He feels real pride and happiness the first time he makes a home-cooked meal for Abel that Abel compliments. To spend more time with his first friend, Abyss even has Mash teach him how to make cream puffs, though he typically prefers to buy them from Mash – Mash’s always taste better and Abyss can never figure out why.

Appearance headcanon

Though a lot of other people consider him as such, Abyss does not believe that he’s handsome. He doesn’t have a lot of self-esteem and self-confidence and that extends to his looks. It’s not that he thinks he’s ghastly looking and super ugly, if you take away his eyes. It’s just that he finds others to be much better looking.

Random headcanon

Abyss has really hairy legs. Sorry, I know it’s random and odd, but just a personal headcanon I have for him.

Any other question of your choosing

Abyss loves animals and has always wanted a pet. He used to have one, back when he was really little, but it was taken away from him once he got locked away. He particularly likes cats and has always wanted a calico, whose colouring he finds pretty.

I love Rayne very much! The Ames brothers in general are some of my favourites from Mashle and I definitely had to make sure I wrote about both of them this month. I used a prompt from the March event here, one that I always love writing about, and I hope you lovelies enjoy my thoughts on this 😊

What is the character’s living space like? Do they have any particular interior decorating tastes? Is their space mostly clean and tidy or do they not really care about mess in their space?

Okay, but Rayne grew up being shuffled around from relative to relative. He and Finn were homeless for stretches and it’s what drove him to become a Divine Visionary. Rayne never really got a space of his own growing up and it wasn’t something he really ever thought about and dreamed about. Those dreams just seemed too selfish and too big and daunting for Rayne, who more often dreamed of being able to give Finn a space of his own. Because of this, when Rayne finally does get a room of his own, he’s really very uncertain of what do to with it. He almost really prefers the living situation of the dorms or a living situation where he has roommates, if only because he can leave most of the decorating and furniture decisions to his roommate, because he simply doesn’t know where to start. He doesn’t even really know what colour he wants to paint the walls or anything.

I think that, after graduating, Rayne prefers to rent apartments. It’s simply easier for him, especially since he gets less freedom, and thus has less pressure, to choose the design of the apartment. Most of them come with rules against painting the walls, so he can just leave them whatever white or beige the landlord chose, which takes one decision off his plate, and because apartments are typically very compact, Rayne doesn’t have to worry much about furniture or room layouts – he just puts things where they fit.

Even then, because Rayne was without a personal space of his own for most of his life and the freedom that granted him, it really does take him quite a while to really get comfortable with decorating and designing things to really suit his own tastes. It’s only because of his friend’s and Finn’s influence that Rayne really starts taking steps towards personalizing his space – it starts with a framed photo of bunnies from Finn, a set of faux-rabbit fur throw pillows from Max because Max is sure Rayne will like the feel of them under his hands, that things start moving towards him feeling comfortable personalizing his living spaces.

For the longest time, the most personal thing in Rayne’s living spaces is his bunny cage and his bunnies themselves. Once Rayne does get comfortable decorating though, he still keeps things pretty minimal. He likes simple furniture that is also really comfortable. He’d rather buy second hand, since he’s a frugal sort of guy, and tends to pick overstuffed furniture or really broken in and comfortable recliners whose hinges swing easily and whose seats have butt groves already worn into them. He doesn’t have a lot of furniture either – he keeps only what’s necessary in that way. The same attitude extends to his dishes – he has a set of four cups, four plates, four bowls and a simple flatware set. He doesn’t think he needs more than that.

I think that the most personal thing in Rayne’s living spaces are going to be sentimental things, things gifted to him from friends and from Finn – home décor, framed photos, rabbit themed merch, etc. Other than that, he really does like to keep things simple.

Rayne is pretty neat and tidy in his living spaces. Because he doesn’t have a lot of stuff to get all over the place, there’s not a lot of mess that he makes. His worst habits, when it comes to mess, is the laundry. Rayne hates doing laundry and will only do it when he’s close to having no clothes left. Until then, he just kind of stuffs them into the laundry basket until it’s overflowing and spilling out onto the floor.

I don’t think Rayne is a real big fan of television, but he does own one. Again, it’s second-hand, found at a pawn shop pretty cheap. It’s an older model but still works and that’s really all that matters to him.

Another thing that does matter to Rayne? He does actually care a lot about having a good smelling home. It’s something that he really enjoys and is the most personal choice to him. Because Rayne is such a caring and responsible rabbit owner, he knows that most scented candles and room sprays cannot be used in his home. Instead, he uses simmer pots and dried herbs like lavender or rosebuds in bowls that he keeps out of the bunny’s reach to keep his home smelling good.

To round off the last of the unrequested featured  fandom posts, I decided to give some love, since I’d already touched on Mash and Domina, to Innocent Zero’s other children with some just random headcanons I have for them 😊 I hope you lovelies enjoy my thoughts here!

Doom

Despite seeming so cool and nonchalant about everything, and despite being sometimes very perturbed by his brother’s eccentricities, Doom does actually care quite a bit about his younger brothers and he does worry about them. While he does enjoy strength and fighting strong opponents just for the sake of the fight alone, he also wants to be strong enough to be a good example and a protector for his brothers.

Doom spends at least two hours a day taking care of his sword. He talks to it, addresses it by name, and considers it his most important thing.

While Doom can’t see what they look like, he collects rocks. He chooses which rocks he wants to collect based on how they feel in his hands, the unique shapes and textures of them. Because of this, he has a really eccentric collection and some truly ugly rocks, but they’re all very much things that make him happy.

Doom can predict when a storm is coming, at least ninety percent of the time. He’ll tell others to get out of the weather or warn them about an oncoming thunderstorm, only to get laughed off most of the time. However, he’s wrong only once out of about every fifty times.

Epidem

After Epidem is arrested, he has to be put into solitary a lot because he gains influence within the prison scarily quick by converting others into the religion of Puddingology. He’s very persuasive and charismatic in his speech and he has an innate talent at finding the inmates who are weakest and most susceptible to his influence and then brainwashes them with his cult…sorry, religion.

Epidem doesn’t like to eat anything but pudding. Every single meal he eats is pudding. He makes his own special protein-packed pudding with added vitamins so that he never has to eat anything other than the sweet treat. Because of this, while he’s physically still strong and mostly healthy, his teeth are full of cavities.

Epidem likes plants and has a big green thumb. He grows quite a large garden, has more than one greenhouse, and actually quite dotes on his plants. He sings and talks to them because he’s heard it will make them grow faster, stronger, and healthier. Of course, he uses most of those plants for rather nefarious purposes, such as his poisons, but he does love them.

When Epidem is annoyed or stressed out, he has a funny little quirk of placing his fingers along his magic lines and tapping them along his chin and cheeks.

Famin

Weird little headcanon here but this man would be such a fan of The Amazing Digital Circus. I just know he’d fanboy that show so hard. His favourite would be Caine.

Famin definitely has a kleptomaniac streak. However, he never considers what he’s doing as stealing. He just sees something, wants it, and so he takes it. Isn’t that how things are supposed to work, after all? In Famin’s mind, the world is simply there to amuse him and there’s nothing wrong about him just taking whatever he wants, even if it belongs to someone else…especially if it belongs to someone else, actually, since Famin believes that if he wants something, someone else doesn’t deserve to have it while he doesn’t.

In a weird little quirk, I personally headcanon that Famin hates any clothes that don’t have pockets. He doesn’t like not having places to hide and stash things. He’s learned to sew just to make sure he can modify all his clothing to have pockets.

Famin, as an adult, still has imaginary friends and enjoys putting on often bloody, extremely violent, shows for his imaginary friends using real, unwilling humans he abducts. Not all of his imaginary friends are human in nature, which is why I specified that he abducts humans. However, in a weird little twist, Famin has never been too interested in torturing animals. They just don’t provide an entertaining enough spectacle or reactions for Famin.

Delisaster

Delisaster, on top of his hookah, would definitely be all in on vaping. He enjoys the sweeter flavoured vapes, with bubblegum, banana cream pie, and cola being his favourites.

Delisaster may or may not be a little bit of an alcoholic. He’s never not drinking and typically has a little bit of a buzz going on. Much like his vapes, Delisaster prefers to drink alcohol with a sweeter taste – sweet wines, champagne, but especially coolers and those mixed candy drinks. While he loves tequila, he doesn’t much like it straight or needs to chase it with something sweet afterwards.

He absolutely loves club and rave music. Well, to be fair, he plain out loves raves in general. It’s hedonism in it’s finest, which always appeals to Delisaster.

Other than Famin, Delisaster is the brother who really doesn’t hold too much of an attachment to his other brothers. He doesn’t really care too much about family bonds and doesn’t even hold his father in a real high regard, only obeying his father because he knows Innocent Zero is the one person who could kill him without much effort.

Of course, one of everyone’s favourite characters in Alice in Borderland is the Cheshire Cat, Chishiya! I adore him as well and of course, I had to take the guaranteed chance to write about him! I hope you lovelies enjoy some of my thoughts on him 😊

I personally headcanon that Chishiya came from a well-off, or maybe even very wealthy, family in the real world. Both of his parents were well-respected and prolific professionals in their respective fields and I can’t decide, but I believe one of his parents was probably in the medical field. In my mind, whichever parent it was who worked in the medical field was a well-respected surgeon. In my mind, they were a neurosurgeon, just for the extra prestige. His other parent worked in the medical field as well, in my mind, just in a different way, as a highly sought after psychiatrist who often saw patients at their home office and had a waiting list for new patients that was years long.

Because his parents were both such highly respected and sought after professionals, they didn’t really have time for Chishiya while he was growing up. It’s not that they were openly abusive or anything, just casually neglectful while they focused on their own goals and careers. They mostly had a child because it was socially expected of them, in my mind. Chishiya was raised by a nanny for his formative years, with his parents kind of there but never really there. They were mostly there to remind Chishiya of his place and standing and to push their child to excel. Chishiya had high standards and expectations placed on him early and since he was a brilliant child, even from a young age, he always met those standards without really having to try his hardest. He also learned independence really early on. However, he never really formed close bonds with his parents and as an adult, he next to never sees them, doesn’t regularly call them, and they see each other as a family maybe once every year or two. It’s not a really loving family relationship by any means.

Just a silly little headcanon but during his late childhood years, around 8 or 9, Chishiya saw a magic act on the street and got interested in magic. He took it up as a hobby and obsessively learned all sorts of tricks, secret techniques, and the secrets behind most magic tricks. While he fell out of magic as a hobby, he still retains his skills with it, mostly with slight-of-hand and mentalist magic.

Chishiya enjoys puzzles of all sorts but finds it hard to find ones difficult enough to keep him entertained and occupied. He does the crossword every day and likes logic puzzles, cryptograms, and sudoku. He likes brainteaser puzzles, especially the more complex ones. He excels at mazes. He does do jigsaw puzzles when he can find ones that look complex enough to be worth his time – he’s one of those people who would actually really enjoy The Clearly Impossible puzzle, where the pieces are all transparent and there’s fake edge pieces that actually fit in the middle of the puzzle.

I think Chishiya actually enjoys the thrill of gambling. Since there’s no legal casinos in Japan, as far as I know, he starts participating in underground gambling rings in his late teens. He seems to be the luckiest man alive but honestly, he’s just using his intelligence to figure out how to properly cheat or count cards. He’s been beaten up and banned from several of these gambling rings and it’s only because he has a strong survival instinct and has known to get out of a situation that looks like it might become volatile for him that he hasn’t gotten worse.

I think Chishiya gets his hair bleached professionally at a well-known, high-end salon every six to eight weeks. He buys the shampoo and conditioner they tell him to use but other than that, he doesn’t take a great deal of care of his hair so instead of it being super-soft and touchable, I actually think his hair is pretty rough. It also doesn’t help that he has super thick and pretty coarse hair naturally.

Chishiya didn’t have any true friends until his time in the Borderland. Because of his status and wealth, people tended to try to use him. That was okay with Chishiya, who knew what they were doing and was fine with it if he found use in the person as well. He truly viewed human interaction as transactional and with a great deal of cynicism, if not outright distaste for society in general. However, through his time in the Borderland, Chishiya unintentionally gained pretty strong bonds with the people he met and started to actually trust people for the first time. He displayed a lot of growth when it came to that and he started to really value his friends/comrades. I think that Kuina and him remeet in the real world and build a friendship there, as well as Niragi and Chishiya building a bond in the real world
