Art Face Portrait: Legacy & Luxury

Portrait photographer Lisa DeGuzman showcases the epitomes of contemporary portraitures. 

Fashion to me is the client's style, their choices, and the looks they love brought from home or incorporated from studio wardrobe.

Art Face Portrait brings the luxury experience of a personally designed magazine-styled photoshoot, including professional makeup, hair, and often wardrobe to every day women so they can have that celebrity experience. Each shoot is personalized to client’s wants and needs; and can encompass boudoir, contemporary glamour, classic portraits and business headshots.

Fashion can often tell the viewer exactly what year a photo was taken but the love and availability of vintage and retro looks can blur that line.

Art Face Portrait’s goal is for everyone to have beautiful portraits to display proudly now and to leave for our next generations. Lisa is part of a movement for people to exist in photographs again providing printed, archival, legacy prints that will outlive them. With more than two-decades into our photos living inside phones and computers, this movement is more for legacy, however, luxury is just as important for Art Face Portrait. 

What will your children, grandchildren or loved ones find when they go to look for photographs of you once you're gone?

Prestigious artists such as Peter Lindbergh, Mark Seliger, Annie Leibovitz, Herb Ritts and Sue Bryce are all photographers which she told us “have influenced her work and voice”, in which we believe speaks volumes. 

What’s your main source of inspiration? 

“Old and new Hollywood glamour portraits, fabrics-textures, jewelry pieces, paintings and sculptures from the old masters. I love shooting men and women, however, I am most excited during sessions when i get to see women of all ages open up and let me capture their beauty, strength, and vulnerability. It’s empowering for both of us.”

For clients who’d prefer group portraits, Lisa also provides the digital files and gift the corresponding prints of each purchase so they can be displayed or shared.

“Current generations don’t face the same issues as previous ones did so the things that influence us are also going to be different.” 

Tales of Dolore provides products that give insight into the world around us. Through inspiration gathered everywhere, ranging from Art to psychology they are able to craft clothes that stick to their supporters hearts and minds in every collection.

High Fashion: Meet Laraisa Fashion

From Eastern Europe to Orlando, Florida - An incredible story behind one brand’s journey to the city beautiful. 

Our story begins in Ukraine, where the future founder and owner of Laraisa Fashion was born. Lulia Postalatii spent her childhood years in Eastern Europe Moldova, a small country of less than 4-million. Who knew that years later she’d have such a profound impact as a fashion designer in the industry; Well simply put, she did! 

Lulia first developed a fierce love of fashion watching her mother and grandmother make dresses for friends and family: “I used to help them with cutting and sewing. Working with them was always fun and exciting.” That bonding experience would entice her to create her own masterpieces, for her dolls of course. 

Later she would go on to attend an after school art program for four-years; however, it wasn’t until her teenage years that she would start to develop her talents working alongside her mom at an alteration shop. It was there that she learned to sew, crafting personal dresses for parties and social gatherings. These were the defining moments where she realized her passion for fashion. She would later go on to attend college for fashion design; where she would also work as a seamstress part-time. 

“I loved studying and was doing very well. I enjoyed my experience and made my first collection as a final for my diploma” 

It would not be until shortly after, where one of the toughest decisions anyone would have to make presented itself ... to stay in the Europe or to pursue her dreams overseas. She had an opportunity to come to the United States and the rest is history! 

“I thought it would be a great chance to develop my talents and showcase my work to a broader audience.” 

Laraisa Fashion is a one-of-a-kind brand that creates handmade costume-dresses for clients to make their dreams come true with a unique style just for them.

“Fashion is a way to express and discover yourself. Fashion is what we feel at the moment; It’s history that we are creating”

What is your brands mission?

“My brands mission is to understand what women want and make them happy wearing my clothes.”

How would you describe your brand?

“I create clothes in an elegant style, to be unique: however, I am still in search of my one style”

What is your main source of inspiration?

“I find my inspiration in everything. The most important thing is that my soul is in harmony, so that everything else round me makes me happy and gives me the strength to create.”

Who or what are your biggest influences?

“My mother because she taught me how to sew.”
