GriffO (鬼否) math-rock from Hangzhou, China.  We’ve featured them before, and this is from their 2014 ep, The Queen Of Trance.  

They have a 2nd ep from 2016, Cosmos Egg, but that isn’t at bandcamp.   (Always a frustration for me, when good indie bands miss basic steps to promote themselves!)

Well, these peeps are obviously talented, adding just enough breathy female vocal to engage both math-rock & prog-rock fans.  =D

I can’t find it on youtube. It is available to hear at their douban.  Looks like the 2nd ep is at douban, the 1st ep is at bandcamp (and also at one of those unofficial automated YT channels). Both eps available at xiami.

The only official MV on their official channel is for Afflatus (also from the 2nd ep), I think this will be the 3rd time we’ve posted it, LOL:

36 HOURS FOR 30 MINUTES - An ArcTanGent Tour Diary

SEIMS initially received our invitation to play the ATG main stage in 2020. We’d just come off the back of a crazy good Japan tour, and I was humbled and honoured to see this sitting at the top of my inbox. Our label manager Mike texts me immediately.

“You’re saying yes, right?”

I got to experience the fest first hand in 2017 – I bought a return flight from Sydney, Australia, on a whim to go see my favourite bands. A 10/10 time was had. It was worth it.

Of course, COVID was a thing, and that pushed our appearance out to 2021, then onwards to 2022. As you can imagine, our anticipation had snowballed greatly. In this time, my wife and I had a baby girl, and this would force me to be away from my child for a lengthy period for the very first time. And we were only coming for one show…

Would it be worth it?
