Hunger
~That feeling in your stomach... The feeling of emptiness and a pit of air... The awkward churning and the continuous gurgling noises. Slowly but surely the rest of your body feels it too. Fatigue, headache lethargy... you want it to end. Water has never tasted so good. You go in search of something to end this feeling.~
I cannot properly formulate all the things that I have felt today. All I know is that it has been such a long time since I have felt this way. I have been feeling so demoralized and unwilling to go out, to meet people, to go to church, to pray. Today I regained everything that I thought I lost. I felt as if I was out in a desert with nothing trying to find my way back. Today I felt renewed. Like the cloud that was casting a shadow over me was blown away and the sun came out.
I saw a video in which a child who was under privileged said that hunger is his favourite food, because hunger makes everything taste good. It made me think and it spoke to me on so many different levels. Hunger forces you to go looking to subside it. Hunger makes you appreciate everything that you have been blessed with. I was out in the desert hungry and in-need of nourishment. It was there beside me in arms reach but I couldnt get a hold of it. I used the last burst of energy I had in the malnourished body and sprinted towards the food and it tasted so good.
I love going to church. It is a great way to end a week and be recharged and ready for the coming week. No matter who you are and which church you go to if you take sometime to quieten your thoughts, focus on Christ, and open yourself up to feel his presence, you will experience a comforting embrace like no other. In the words that is said by the preacher, by the chants, by the prayers, by the repetition of His word. Every hymn that is sung touches each and everyone of us differently. Every prayer sent up is always heard. I have come to know that no church no denomination or no particular way of worship will bring you closer to Christ... The hunger that forces you to seek Him. That is what brings you closer to Him. Learning His word, Singing praises, Reading the Bible and knowing and truly believing from within that Christ was sent for you and he loves you unconditionally.
Hunger does not just appear it is something that grows over time and the longer you wait the more tired you will become. When the urge is stronger you will find Him.
Today is the day! Expect that God will pour out the rain of His anointing and blessings! ☝🏻️🙌🏻💕 Let's Go Deep and Deeper! 😉😊 #Outpour2016 #GoDeep #FeelHisPresence #Loved #Blessed (at Church of God Dasmarinas)
