Why did I even sign up to run a Club? Simply to have less self esteem apparently

For love of God! So for the club I run on campus called the McMaster Anthropology Society, we are running a "Winter Social." Food, fun, games and a Movie. So since it is associated with the department I over ruled the movie Die Hard, well since it is kind of rated R for a reason. But people won't just drop it! they even added an option "a blank wall, since life is meaningless without die hard." I mean I am not allowed to call this social a Christmas, or Holiday social

because I might offend some one.

but if I make it so people who don't like excessive violence and swearing can feel comfortable, God forbid that! the world stages a revolt!

I am trying to make it as welcoming as possible, so people with different faith backgrounds can come out. And some Christians and Muslim (I think some Jewish people) won't watch things that contain swearing and such. So I was thinking that it is better we keep the movies rate PG13 and I even said that in the meeting. Now one of the exec members is on my case! I am done PC only works one way, to exclude anyone who is different!

I am not one of those Christians who won't watch any thing that is violent, but I play assassin's creed in private without having the volume blasting. If my music or movie I am watching has a lot of swearing and such earphone in or I will simply watch it in my home and not in residence. I don't get why people are making such a big deal about not watching this. Like seriously we all have to give a little to make things work.

I don't even know how to respond to some of the comments. It probably isn't an attack at me, but as the President who over ruled it, all the arguments seemed pointed at me and it bloodly well sucks.
