“The true colour of life is the colour of the body, the colour of the covered red, the implicit and not explicit red of the living heart and the pulses. It is the modest colour of the unpublished blood.” — Alice Meynell
Last week I found myself at Critical NW surrounded by so many incredible people and the amazing pieces of artwork they brought to life.
The experience was absolutely life changing, and it allowed me to be open in ways not usually felt.
One of the highlights was exploring the thought inducing exhibits that filled the place, including this piece, which was one of my favorites.
I spent a lot of time running with glee through the thousands of streamers the crew had mounted.
It was a sensory nirvana, and so exhilerating as you never knew what you might find concealed in the tangible rainbow.
In a moment of inspiration, and with the help of Ash Steele, we snagged a quick photo before running off to more adventuring.
I'm so pleased with how it turned out. It captures the confidence I was feeling in the moment, and I hope to create more works like this in the future, should fate and my own steel allow.

A huge thank you to everyone who made the event possible. You truly make magic happen. ❤️
