She shouts. Then she laughs. And she sways. Shaken by the impotence of her anger. Tears of fire fall from her eyes. Streams of smoke leak from her shoulders in steady plumes. “You cruel child,” she spits. “Why would you doubt me? After everything—” Her arms flail, hair spiraling in widening arcs. “My judgment is law!” The smoke rises behind her, thickening to black. “I am the judge, barrister, and executioner!” The blackness bursts, snapping open like wings. “I—AM—JUSTICE!” Her cry sweeps through the hall like a blazing wind. Solas stands against it, his cloak violently flapping behind him. He’s looking at her, waiting. No hatred, no fury. Her dark wings are vast and terrible, blotting out any and all traces of light, and between them, she seems so small. The cloak slowly floats back to brush against his hands. The air stands still. He sways forward, bending at the waist in a reverent bow. “Vengeance,” he corrects her, and sits down.

Summary: The year is 1814 and the nations meet in Moss, Norway, to come to a peaceful sollution of the conflict between Norway and Sweden. Sweden claimes Norway by right of a deal made with Denmark, but Norway had laid his own plans and want to become an independant country. Great Britain are there as a result of their influencial position in Europe to mediate and create the best outcome for everyone. But, truly, it seems very hopeless...

Historical notes: Great Britain actually mediated this convention and was behind the suggestion that let Norway keep their constitution. And I thought that was so sweet it inspired this idea.

A Piece Of Cake

And sometimes, some people Make you think that life is so easy. That it's a piece of cake.

You tell yourself maybe that's because You watch from afar and can't see The details.

You take a closer look, you see Them go through rocks with Big smiles on their faces.

Then you think that, there must Be something about life That you can't get.

"But what's it?" In frustration, You ask youself.

"It's not something about life, darling." Replies a voice in your head,

"It's about someone you see In the mirror every morning, that You can't get."
