The corruption that we watch happen every day breaks my heart. It always does. I’ve been told that my selflessness is a “noble act of character, but that won’t ever pay the bills”. What bills will be left to be concerned about if we don’t properly do our part in reversing what damage has already taken place upon our home, upon this Earth? I’m no hippie going for an image. I’m someone who is concerned about the world we live in, the people in need, and the life we share with so many other organisms. It gets hard to feel like you’ve literally got the world on your shoulders because the people around you find no passion for others, but I smile nonetheless because I believe I’m not alone in the battle to live happily not only for myself but for those everywhere. I smile because I believe in today. I believe in tomorrow. I believe in changes that can be made. Never any need to fret, just smile :)
