Send "feelings jam!" for our muses to have an impromptu feelings jam together
Ya’ll wanna know my proudest achievement?
Last semester I got at least 20+ people to unironically use the term “feelings jam”. I managed to put a word into my college campus’s culture and these unaware fuckers don’t even know what homestuck is. I am so disgusted and proud of myself for this.
“Hey, I don’t know if I can hang out because college is hard and I’m getting sad and shit.”
“fuck man, you want to have a feelings jam?”
I have too much fucking POWER on this campus.
I’ve been trying so hard not to fall into a depression, or at least a sever lethargy and sadness lately. I’m forcing myself to continue and be productive and positive and I’m going to keep at it, going to try my best every but.....damn.
So I finished the Russel T Davies section of my re-watch of doctor who and I honestly have to say, those 4 shining, glorious years where Tennant was the Doctor are the best that show ever was and ever will be. He brought an unparalleled level of emotion to the character. The entire time I've been rewatching this show, i honestly wondered why I just didn't personally like Moffat's era of doctor who as much as RTD's, despite the fact that he wrote some of the best episodes in that era and I finally realized it. Ten's time is the greatest the show ever will be, and not only was it a tough act to follow, for me will be impossible. The traumatized, deep, thoughtful, caring, and constantly fighting to control his rage Doctor is gone, with a new man. In a way the series i loved is gone. And while his story continues and is still quite good, I'll never quite feel the same way again as i do when i watch this period. So thank you David Tennant, Billie Piper, Freeman's Ageyman, Catherine Tate, John Barrowman, Elizabeth Sladen, Bernard Cribbins, and Russell T. Davies (and much more) for pouring your heart and soul into the best years of this show. NOTE: I'M WRITING THIS REALLY FUCKING LATE SO IF THIS JUST SEEMS LIKE A PILE OF WORDS SORRY
I think my thing is that I’ve only had “Butterflies in my stomach” “Nervous when we sit next to each other” feelings about one person so far in my general memory. But like. I really love all my friends, and with a select few I do have feelings of “If this person happened to have a crush on me I wouldn’t mind being with them” but it’s like. I personally don’t really consider it a crush, per say. And I definitely don’t feel as intensely as I did years back. I’ve been pondering that for a lil bit, y’know?
I am ✨ reminiscing✨ tonight and like idk dude I am aware if I heard one of my friends say what I'm about to say, I'd be upset and sad but like. Idk man I just feel so broken like I am meant to be alone and just have like five cats and you know what? That's fine. This was my mentality five years ago before he fucked me up. I need to be more at peace with it again because I am still just so lonely and out of place but like? Maybe I am just meant to take care of cats and have meaningless sex and that's ok a family can be a girl and her army of felines.
I don't think people understand how anxiety inducing it can be just to say "can we talk" with no further context. Like most of the time reasonably it's nothing big probably, but in the amount of time between when the request is made and when you actually start talking I've turned into a little dog who is afraid of getting kicked again.
