I love the feelings that drawing on paper makes me feel. Nowadays I’m a digital artist and I earn money the most working on digital projects but I never stop drawing on paper. In fact, I mixed both techniques to improve results. This piece is a mix of digital and traditional.
Drawing on a traditional way have pros and cons. I has to admit that I’m really dirty when I'm using pencil, so today in this phase I prefer to use my Cintiq. It’s cleaner, faster, you can use Cmd + Z, change sizes, flip the canvas to check if all it’s ok and you can make all the adjustments that you need to do to make an interesting image but...draw on paper have another charm.
When it's time to inking I prefer to use real ink or markers and traditional techniques. It needs all my concentration, all my senses have to be focused to make every line, every stroke, because a little mistake could be fateful and it makes me feel alive, and time really flies! But is not always possible in terms of production or maybe doesn't work on the project that you're working in this moment.
So I make original pieces to maintain my origin, to maintain my primal stroke. It makes me come back to my childhood and these first stages of my career ( Of course I didn´t know that I'll became proffesional)I didn't have access to all the resources that I nowadays have as illustrator. It makes me feel happy and I`ll continue drawing forever in a traditional way.
