25, I barely knew ye
what do you mean by fridging valkyrie?
Endgame kinda forced her into being king which felt like a #girlpower move as opposed to an organic next step in her character arc. We never get to really see her, you know? She barely fights in endgame and now for Thor 4 she’s stuck as king of Asgard as we resurrect a white lady who we haven’t seen in like, 8 movies to come in and be Thor. The way the mcu wrote Jane was terrible! She was boring and somehow she and Thor had no chemistry, which is why they tossed her character.
But now Thor 4 is going to be in marvel’s phase 4 and the only woman around is Valkyrie (a woman of color)... but instead of being a lead like she should have been, suddenly Jane exists again and is now Thor? I loved the concept of Jane as Thor in the comics and I really like Natalie Portman but the timing and the context of everything just isn’t sitting well with me.
