"hi, darling." steve whispers as he sidles up in bed next to kiara, wrapping his arms around her and pulling her close. he's trying to keep his volume low - as to not disturb the other members of their cabin. "i've missed you. how was your day?" it's not like they'd even been apart that long, but any time apart is too long in his opinion. he brushes some hair back from her face, smiling softly at her.

"and i'll stand by you... forever." he promises. he means it. there's no one in this world he'd rather spend his time with than his best friend. there's no one that makes him happier. despite everything that may come their way, at least they have each other. they'll always have each other... no matter what happens.

Her father could be Hades, could be someone else - but it's something I'd have to look into bc I am familiar with Percy Jackson but it's been forever since I actually read the lore

Do I Ship Our Muses?: i always auto-ship mentally as friends or at least acquaintance! Like I could also picture my characters being friendly to others until plotted or discussed otherwise.
What I Think About The Mun: Terri is such an amazing writer to work with! They've been nice enough to actually accept a headcanon of mine for their Gwen Stacey that revolved around her death in the comics/TASM2 - so I look forward to plotting and chatting/getting to know them again since so much time has passed between us. I also look forward to writing with them again!
Overall Opinion: I think very highly of them and the different canon-diverganceys they create for their characters. From ocs who have their own lore to canon-characters that have their own twists on the story again I mainly knew them for Gwen Stacey and Terri wrote her beautifully, even did a crossover ship with a DC character! So if you haven't already, definitely check them out!

"i just wish i didn't." he is, of course, talking about his boyfriend dying. it was a hard thing for him to go through, especially considering he held him as he died. there's nothing worse in this world than to watch a loved one die, especially one you planned your entire life around. it broke Kaz in ways they didn't expect. "you remember when your friend died, yeah? but you were able to bring him back... i can't bring him back. you're lucky." a pause, and then, he lowers their head. "and even if i wanted you to, i wouldn't ask ya to do that for me. let him rest in peace."

where would he even start? that he knew what happened to bryce when he died? that he knew monty was innocent? that both of them are haunting his every waking moment? that he was falling apart? how much of that was really a secret? sure, no one knew about the bryce and monty stuff, but was it really that hidden that he was crumbling? was it really so hard to believe that he wasn’t as convincing as he thought? “no.” the lie flows easily, but it’s not the most believable thing in the world. in fact, it’s not really believable at all. “what wouldn’t i be telling you?”

daphne shuddered at the thought of all those innocent children who'd been killed. she couldn't stomach it. that was the part of the story that always got to her. ❝ we were asked to look into the case. it's considered closed but the person who asked us to look into it thinks there's more to the story, and we agree there might be something there. ❞ when it came to things like shadysiders just going crazy, there tended to be something else there. the gang hadn't looked into these particular killers, the ones they claim were influenced by the witch, but they'd looked into others, and there was always something else as a root cause. so, that's what they were going to look for.

it’s been a month. long enough for the rumors & whispers to spread about the girl at the record store who killed her boyfriend -- i heard it was self-defense. i heard she was locked away. do you think it’s the curse? did it get her, or the guy? she’s tired of hearing it. sometimes particularly snotty kids from sunnyvale would come in, trying to slyly ask her about it, or accuse her of things. edith had expected more of that. “ don’ see why -- it’s all over now. things’re gonna even out, & rumor has it -- th’curse is lifted. ... if y’believe that crap. ”
