this is my oboro! she’s the first one i’ve gotten to +10 so i’m very proud of her

Build Explanation

Weapon: Oboro’s Spear + Eff (+6 Res & Def when non-range foe initiates combat) Getting the special effect on her spear makes her hardier against dragon foes and other non-ranged opponents that may target her lower Res stat. With the effect, her Res goes from 28 to 34 which is not bad. 

Assist: Rally Def This is what Oboro comes with. It’s fine to have. 

Special: Bonfire Oboro’s high Def stat makes Bonfire a great special for her to use.

A skill: Steady Posture 2 (Sturdy Stance could also be used) Since Oboro’s just sitting pretty, it make sense to continue to buff her for when opponents attack. Steady posture increases her speed to 34, which makes it so that foes with speeds up to 38 will only attack once. This increased protection against counterattacks/follow up attacks is why I went with steady posture over sturdy stance. This skill also buffs her defense. 

B skill: Seal Speed 3 I’m really all about protecting Oboro from counterattacks/follow up. In the event that Oboro doesn’t finish off an enemy when they attack her, seal speed makes it less likely that they will be able to attack twice if you decide to initiate an attack with Oboro the next turn.

C skill: Attack Smoke 3 Oboro will probably be attacked by multiple enemies a turn. Attack smoke helps her endure those attacks by making her enemies weaker.

S skill: Steady Posture 1 (will be 2 when I upgrade it, Sturdy Stance also works) Before I wrote this I had Sturdy stance equipped. Then I went to check who had Steady Posture, and it was Brave Ike. Since BI’s damage reduction and special acceleration protect him from multiple attacks, I decided to switch Oboro to steady posture, to get even more of a speed boost. An additional Steady Posture will make her speed 38, which protects against multiple attacks from enemies with speeds up to 42. Another option would be Bracing Stance, if you have a seal for that or put it as the A skill, to give her a little more protection against ranged foes that calculate using Res.

Stat Boosts Total (when foe initiates) Against non-ranged foe: Def +14 (total 57), Spd +8 (total 38), Res +6 (total 34) Against ranged foe: Def +8 (total 51), Spd +8 (total 38)
